Just like the topics, says, how do and how much do I have to adjust them?
I know the answer is : Get a Bentley but for now I don't have one so a quick answer would be nice!
You adjust them at the handbrake and make them just tight enough, but not too tight. J/K....
Pop the cover off of the handbrake lever and you'll see the cable ends coming in from the rear. How to adjust should be self-explanatory once you see this. Tighten each cable just enough so that when you engage it it doesn't pull all the way up, but maybe about half way up before it gets tight. That's how I have mine set.
pull up your e-brake boot and the carpet under it, you will see where the 2 cables hook up to the lever. that is where you adjust them, as far as how much, how would we know

Set the e-brake to 3 clicks. The wheels shouldn't spin at 3 clicks. If they spin, tighten the adjusters below the handle. Don't forget to check after you adjust to ensure they spin freely with the e-brake disengaged.
OSD #26 - "Because he's thirsty... Dummy."
its the same for both the mk3 and mk2's.. you tighten them at the base of your handbrake! 4 nuts total .. 2 adjusters and 2 locking nuts. very easy to do. mine are only finger tight and they work fine!
you wanna tighten it so that when your handbrake lever is at the half way point, the ebrake is fully engaged! you also wanna make sure the wheels spin freely when the cables are adjusted to this point, but with the handbrake disengaged.
