Thread: Caffeinated Kennedy Commons Monday Night GTG's @ Rona

  1. 08-09-2005 01:06 PM #1
    To alliviate confusion.

Monday nights, inbetween the Chapters and TD bank. west of RONA.

Mondays seem to work better for a lot of people, as fridays are typically owned by the gf's.

thank you, i was there one night and checked out some of the SRT-4s( i wasnt in my car, i told my buddy who wants an integra to come and see) and wow these owners are cool.....all mid 30s.....every car the same other then colour and rims....whoooo.....yea you can get into one of the for 30k...who wants a 30k neon? now i know these things have power, they also have no mufflers...... but 30 grand? dam you can get a used 1.8t for half that..hell you can get almost a new one for that price.

  17. 08-11-2005 01:44 AM #17
don't disrespect the SRT-4, son. it will pwnz you.

yea i know but still .... its a neon ..... i know its a nice car and you get alot for your money but, most ppl repsect you more when your driving something that has more appeal for being a luxury vehicle, ive always thought of the nicer VWs with leather as sorta the sporty luxury types. all i msaying is that for 30grand the SRT-4 will be able of fun but im sure the interior is all plastic, VWs at that range have nice leather seats. id still like to race one just to see how fast it is.

  19. 08-11-2005 02:11 AM #19
supporters of SRT-4s always get bashed with the "but it's still a neon" but it's really the only thing people can say about that car.

price/performance? SRT-4 is prolly the best in its category of 4 bangers. it will give a STi a good run for its money and the STi is $50k+...

and then there are people who talk about BMW is better than SRT-4... well true but a car should be a car... gets you from point A to point B in as fast as possible. otherwise you can take the bus or stay at home on your couch for comfort.

anyway, i just wished people respected the SRT-4 a little more. A stock SRT-4 with just a boost controller mod @ 14psi dynoed 250whp.

    i have APR 93 and I dynoed 185whp @ ~20psi boost.

My srt4 dyno'd at 267whp with just a boost controller (actually a wastegate actuator) w/a 2psi increase, exhaust and intake.

But we should leave this discussion for another thread so we dont ruin spoonies thread

I used to say... its still a neon.. etc, but really it' everything the GTI used to be.. relatively cheap, no frills and fast. I'd rock one. They even come with factory supported intercooler and Quaife LSD dont they? Try getting a dealership to honor the warranty on a GTI with just a CAI

oh sorry.. CAI.. yeh you ruined the car we can't be held responsible for this. You may go now.

yea i guess i kind see it know, if it didnt look like a neon ppl would probably give it more kudos, but considering what you get, for near 30 grand you can have yourself a pretty sweet machine. id like to drive one, or be driven in one just to see.

oh, after my ignition switch was done, i noticed my brakes were always on, they worked when the car was off and but i pressed the brakes the dash lights would come on, figured no big deal it must be a crossed wire. well as of now the whole interior harness was practically melted and a new one is going in. its gonan cost near 1000 so im sure if its back by monday ill take it out for a spin and beat the **** out of it. its might not be the most perfect car, but i miss driving it already...
