Didn't make it out to the meet last week - spent my whole break in Atlanta staring at Maseratis and Astons. *drool*

I had a square US-style plate in the rear when I was in the UK and I had my US spec car with me. They're definitely more common that you might think over there.

Thats the way the wife and i were. We use to go, lets the dogs out and get coffee. If no one showed up we left.

For all you new people, you all might get to see the gti i have been talking about. I have not been able to drive it for a month because of the clutch bit the new clutch will be here monday and i should have it running monday night.

They are Borbet Type As _ 16x7.5 _ 16x9 w/ tires, the guy asking $1150. They look good and have less than 500 miles on the tires. Here are a couple pics. Let me know what you think and worth my money or think I could get something better for the price.

Alot of people want those wheels. If all 4 are in good shape with great tires i would do it. Hell my tires along almost cost $950 that is one hell of a deal.

I have 20% all the way around on my mkv gti. Had it for almost 2 years now no problems. I have heard some awfully loud cars before and i am sure your exhaust will be okay. Not much going on here with the VAG scene. We have had better turn outs the last couple of weeks. There is also atlanta and columbia that has a big scene. If you are talking warrenty work than gerold jones is good for that. I have a feeling that for the services at least with my car they do not do their jobs. For example i took it in for the 60,000 service and part of it was to check the a/c system and i drained the freon last september and did not refill it. They did not say anything to me that i was out of freon they did write on the paperwork that the a/c worked great. Hahahah no freon and it worked great. Gotta love lazy people.

LOL sorry about that. Augusta is pretty close so it would be worth the drive to come meet some of you even if it isn't that big. Yea, I'm going to need my 20k soon and I'm kind of hoping I don't need to get it down here. My friends a tech at the VW back home and has a bagged mkv so I've never had any issues but just in case it comes down to needing while I'm here it sounds like your saying they could handle it fine then... I'm always just worried about techs messing with my bags because I've had friends that have had issues when taking their cars to their not normal VW dealership. Thanks again.
