Thread: New 'Design Package' for Passat and Passat Estate

    1. 09-28-2005 09:07 PM #1

WOLFSBURG, Germany - Passat customers can now upgrade their vehicle using the “design package” from Volkswagen Individual: the package gives both the saloon and the estate versions an appealing, personal and sporty touch.
The love of the car is often reflected in the details: with dark chrome radiator grille, side window trims and rear lettering in the new “design package” for the Passat, for example. The anthracite-painted 18 inch “Chicago” alloy wheels with five double-spoke design and gloss finish are also an eye-catcher. These are combined with a 15 millimetre lower sports suspension which is specifically tuned to match the wheels. Tinted rear and side windows match the dark chrome and wheels.

To me the passat platform has shown the most potential from the new design, this confirms it. and dark chrome - hells yeah!

Cool they look great. Does anyone else think the Passat on the left looks quite like tne last 3 series from that 3/4 angle. I've had both so I must like that shape!

If I was in the market for a midsize sedan (or wagon), that Passat would definitely be my next car. *wipes drool off keyboard after looking at dark chrome*

Its a shame we dont get the options of the Volkswagen Individual over here. I know there wouldn't be a huge market for them.
HOWEVER...what I fail to understand, is why VW does not make used of the Individual "assets" to create special edition Passats. (Passat sport with dark chrome, big wheels, etc etc.)
Or spruce up the top of the line Passats with some specialized leather, and chrome surrounds etc. I dont know how small the Volkswagen Individual operation is - but even though we will never get the super inidividual touches - if these exist...use them to pump up special Passats.
It'd also be great if you could order pieces from an Individual catalogue (they'd sell out of the dark chrome, lol).

Very nice. Audi'ish. Dark chrome would be nice "option".

Yes very Audi like.. and so will the pricing So what to choose, an A4 (or S4) or this It am loving the new design. Saw a couple in person and it just looks more put together than the MKV Jettas.

Given the upwards sloping, black rear valance on the Passat, I think these things look best in black. Best looking new Passat's I've seen...outside of the interior enhancements.

      That is BEYOND HOTNESS!!!
What shockingly impressive additions to the car.
      Dark chrome grille, mouldings, badging...
      Awesome contrasting interior...
      Mirror-tinted windows...
      Sharp lookin' alloys...
      Lowered sport suspension...
      Heated front AND rear seats...
      6-spd manual...
      I'm in LOVE!
Volkswagen Individual should be here. Or as mentioned, limited editions like this should be available in our market. This thing is fackin' brilliant!
