    All New Mazda MPV
The soon-to-be-launched All New Mazda MPV is engineered for those who truly appreciate the minivan, with quality that inspires great pleasure in ownership, sophisticated styling that tells of the owner's discrimination and taste, and dynamic performance typical of Mazda's DNA. Mazda's vision of the next-generation touring minivan not only offers all the interior space and utility of conventional minivans, it also has graceful proportions with taut, athletic lines, and an open and spacious interior -projecting an air of high quality.

The direct-injection MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo engine and 6-speed automatic transmission deliver high fuel efficiency and low emissions, along with spirited performance far beyond the norm for a minivan.

And the newly developed high-rigidity body complements the high power engine with sporty handling, combined with a comfortable ride.

Looks 10x better than the Odyssey or Sienna. All it needs is a rub strip or something along the flanks...it looks a little bare

I hope it's not the same size as the Odyssey, Sienna, Quest etc.

Something in between the size of the current Odyssey and the Mazda5 is what I'd like to see.

Not too sure how much Ford had to with Mazdas design's. But just about everything from Ford lately as been ace's in my opinion.

more of a large compact than a minivan... apparently, they don't think the new mpv can compete against the larger dcx, honda, toyotas, etc

Looks bigger than our current MPV. Mazda doesn't need to outsize Toyota and Honda.

Yeah, I don't know why everyone seems to think that bigger is better. It surely isn't working out for SUVs right now

The current MPV is a perfect size. We came within a gnats as$ of buying one. It sure as hell drives better than a Honda. There sending us the 5 why wouldn't they give us this one?

    I like it.

From that pic it almost looks more like a tall wagon than a minivan (except for the sliding door).

personally my best looking minivan thing goes to the new mercedes, minus its back end.

  26. 10-05-2005 03:27 AM #26
This looks like the new Mazda5 with some different styling. Is this just the Japanese version of the Mazda5? It looks way smaller than an Odyssey.

Proportionally, it looks more like a wagon with 3 rows of seats, which is fine. Reminds me of JDM Honda Odyssey.
