    so its official.... I'm a dad. Lorenzo Ricardo was born 8/11/2012 at 11:58pm. 7lbs 13ounces 20 inches and handsome just like his dad (never met the guy, just glad he is good looking).

    figured i'd share with my estranged VW family. hope all is well with you guys.

    and to keep on topic i know drive a CDi E-class Benz. but i still keep true to my roots, still have my 81 rabbit truck.

    after 107 miles @ 65mph, the fuel guage still says full; time to punch it up to 70mph.
    fat guys in a little car.....
    yes. the interior. it's blue.
    halfway home the scenery starts to get flatter, passengers are still safe, and we've achieved a new top speed of 75mph. redbull gives you wings.
    this is how we roll.
    during the final leg, it rained. it stopped. we raced mother nature and won (sort of).
    we got great fuel mileage, and we needed to make a belt adjustment.
    always travel with a certified master mechanic.
    we made it home.



    can't believe after all this time i bought another one of these stupid cars.

    Just in case anybody's looking for a reliable daily driver...

    Timing belt job was already performed including upgraded water pump with metal impeller, new headliner done less than a year ago, gray leather interior, A/C working great, etc... Asking $4,950.
