Taken looking over the rail of my deck straight down ..
And this one is straight out from my deck. I was at 4x optical zoom + my zoom lens. There is no easy place to photograph them. I think I did as good as I could.

Actually, it was some rich white dude who knew the owner of the club. This wasn't yer 'normal' club, it was the upscale Men's Club of Charlotte, I was dating one of the dancers at the time and knew all the managers. So they allowed me to bring my camera inside under strict rules to not shoot anything but the tiger

I got this guy on the beach in Hilton Head this summer. He let me get really close because some fisherman were feeding him.

I don't know what type of a bat it is, but anyway, it was here in Germany on a field. First thought it was a bird, but then got really surprised. I rarely see bats and am still kinda scared of them.

One of the owls around Leslie Spit in Toronto last winter.
And you sure don't see a hawk in the bush often trying to find its prey that it just missed...

I'm bumping up this very old thread in hopes that people will post some of their wildlife pictures.
I have recently become very interested in wildlife photography. Being a biologist, it makes sense.
I figure we have a car thread, and a random thread, why not a wildlife thread.
i would make one exception to the original post. If its in a Zoo, that is OK with me.![]()

Not my best, but this guy hangs out near my house until the Fall hunting season then I don't see him until the Spring. I've seen him the past three years. I also have a Great Horned Owl that is winking while I took it's picture I'll have to see if I can find it and post it.
