Remember folks, "wildlife" does not include zoo/museum/park photos. If the creature is in captivity, it ain't wild. Otherwise, I remember this old thread and wondered why it never really took off. I don't personally have a lot of wildlife shots

i saw that in the first post but didnt want to start a new thread when one for animals already existed and died. I figured it was a better use of the vortex to bump an old thread that had a good start and modify it slightly so that it got more responses.

I can just start a new thread titled "Post your Animal pictures" if that would be better.

I borrowed a friends 100-400L. What a step up from my lenses.
Here are a few, the only one I did anything buy crop was the killdeer pic because it got washed out in the bright light.

I borrowed a friends 100-400L. What a step up from my lenses.

I really enjoyed my 100-400L for the two years I had it, but I got sick of sending it off to Canon for cleaning and eventually sold it. The 100-400 is the biggest vacuum that Canon makes... fills up with dust within a couple weekends of use I just use my 300/4is with tele-converter now.

yeah its weird.
when i pull it back in, i can feel air being pushed out of my camera or the lens.
it should be user servicable. ive only had it for a few days.

here are a few of the shots i took this morning at Agua Caliente Park here in tucson. Its a natural spring pond so there are almost always things to see there.
