been considering a rebuild on an OBD1 VR6. All 12 valves bent. Would I be good to go from the rods up you think. No visible catastrophic damage to pistons hardly any marks at all. With new crank bearings I'd like to know if I can use the original rods for the rebuild, looking at your 2.9L Piston Set, Maybe a 3.0L (haven't done enough research for 3.0l yet).

Giac wont make a MK3 custom chip. I could however get Techtonics to make one for you.

Are the INA lifters you sell the lightweight ones?
#54
The ones with the 050 as the first three digits of the part# are the LW ones. Here is a 12V set.

Thanks!![]()
I see a package deal for the presumably "034" and the hd springs, do you have a package for the "050" lifters and the HD springs?
Thanks again, best prices I've seen in a long time.

Will the 36mm exhuast and 42mm intake valves fit side by side or do you have to get a smaller intake valve to fit them together? It's a 12 valve vr6 from a 95 passat

They will fit with new seats. The 41 -36 is a good combo and so is the 41-35. The 35MM exhaust valve allows you to reuse your existing seats if in good shape. Anything over 1MM requires new seats on the 12V.

as long as they fit I'm not worried about new seats I plan on putting some boost to it and saw good results from other engines that I used oversized valves in. Thanks will be putting these on the parts list for when I start rebuilding the engine within the next few months gotta finish the body. before the engine![]()

is it required to run H/D valve springs for a 262 cam in a VR?...i was planning on runnin 262 cams with the "lightweight" lifters...is this ok?...bump for great prices![]()

Not required but a good idea on the springs. The LW lifters work with cams.

Hi how's it going...I'm new to the VDub scene, just got a 2001 GTI VR6. It has almost 150K on it and I hear some light clacking sound at idle, from what I read it may be timing guides worn out? I'd like to just do a complete timing chain overhaul with a kit like you are selling but don't know what one I need. Any guidance you can give? Thanks.
