Oooo! already something new to add to the MK5 Golf/GTI in Dubmodder
And to answer the above poster's question, I doubt the Golf tails will be a direct fit on the Jetta lol

No, but why not the OEM Jetta LED tails?
Arguably, they look better than the Golf LED tails, too.

Odd, Hella already makes a "JETTA" Style LED Tail for the Golf.
Why the "NEW" one?

Me too. Not as rude as the "real" thing but not too subtle either.
Interesting....is the section of "clear" leds next to the back up bulb...Are those dummies or real clear leds?

No idea how much these are, but the Jetta LED tails are $279.

You can run the OEM Euro Jetta LED Tails in the U.S. PASSAT (RED) Mode.
Not too hard to do, and really not that bad looking.
(OEMs are made by Hella)

yeah i know all the details on the LED's and was really excited when u guys figured out how to get em to blink amber. i asked my parents about em then and they said no way in the world that they would let anybody touch the computer system on the car unless it was absoultely necessary and a vw-tech. so i kinda cooled down on the LED's but i think its more because i don't have the $ right now to pay for em with shipping and then i'd still need to convince my folks to lemme pull out the old ones and put in the led's.

Because not everybody wants Lexus rear lamps where everything is freakin circles. (OK so there's still one circle in them...but at least it isn't like 4 per side like OE.)

It would be nice if Hella would come up with an LED tail setup for the TOUAREG.

Is there more of a distance shot, maybe? I'd like to see a different angle.

Agreed. I'm not going to pass judgement until I can see them with the car in the picture. The artcicle talks about there being a darker version which might be a great look on darker cars (no pics at this time from what I can find). The only thing they have up on their site, are the darker headlights for the MKV.

That taillight looks right. Way better than the factory ones.
These should be on the car instead of the ugly twin rounds it currently has.

18. 11-21-2005 01:18 PM #18
I don't think they do anything for the car in this photo. I agree with some of the other posters, it would be nice to see some other pics. I don't think you can get the true look of the lights with this photo...

...especially since both amber and red are lit up... It's just too close of a pic anyhow.

20. 11-21-2005 07:23 PM #20
Yeah we really need to see these from different angles

21. 11-21-2005 08:15 PM #21
very hard to tell what they would look like on the car ...

Well, I could have been wrong.
Some of the photos that I have seen look very much like the AMBER Led photos of the LED Jetta.
It would appear that, perhaps, the GOLF/GTI has plain old incandescent BULB Tails.

yuk. the design itself is not so bad, but it's got a white/silver/clear frame...altezza look. With a black frame and a slight smoked or red look rather than clear, it might work.

They look horrible. No offense to anyone who owns them if they read this; I hate it when I see someone else say similar diatribe, but really, they look horrible on the GTI.

The thing that really kills it for me is that I thought they would look good on a CW GTI (since I've never seen such until now), but no, horrible.
