Volkswagen "Official" Maintenance Schedule List 1999.5-2005
This information was sourced directly from VW.com in 2005 from public info on their website. I did not create this information, just sharing it. As such, myself, and this website assume no risk for issues arising while caring for your vehicle. This list is meant as a reference to be used in conjunction with the owner's manual recommended maintenance schedule.

ooookay for the record:1) VW has moved the http location for their maintenance site FOUR times in the last year. I know because i've had it bookmarked, and upon clicking on the bookmark, i get a nice polite warning from VW saying the site doesn't exist.
2) They JUST moved it three days ago, so when i was looking for information on what service i'm going to need to do for my upcoming 90k mile service, it took me longer than necessary to find VW's recommendation.
3) It was never my intention to discredit VW or claim the information was compiled by myself.
4) Having it in text, on VWvortex, provides something for the search engine to come up with then people search for the service intervals. Simply having a hyperlink to the VWoA website would not produce any information in a search.

Every Auto Manufacturer gives the schedules Maintenance sheet. Will it really important to follow ???
I bought my 2000 Jetta 2.0L Feb 2005 with 94K (Kms) on it. Dealer said he already change the timing belt for me. At 96K I have to replace the Water Bump. New Tires & Front Brake rotors done @ 110K. Plugs changed on 124K. The gas mileage is with A/C 400Km/tank city & 600km hwy with those heavy 17" wheels. Start good, runs well, no funny sound so far accept a small vibration i feel on steering wheel when I stop on RED lights. It might be coz I never did wheel alignment even i change the brakes & wheels or may be some other reason. I also change Air filter & Cleaner. I might need new battery coz Head lights are not that much good. BUT do I still have to go this big 128K Schedule Maintenance...? well one thing we know that Dealer Labor charges is way too high

ummm, i'm at 114k right now. nothing above 105? you just fix things when they break?
#32
thats a good question - i would assume you just start over?

AHAHA. 2003 1.8t- I know this can be accomplished with VagCom, but would be quite difficult to do without that.
"Check Automatic Trans Fluid and Differential for leaks, level; add if necessary" 40k miles
#34
Ok, is it me or is POWER STEERING FLUID not listed on ANY of these? Which explains why the past 4 times I brought it to the dealer it still whined like a baby when I turned (I thought nothing of it at the time). Checked the fluid and it was barely on the frigin stick. What the hell is that about I guess that's a "sealed unit" too?
Edit: LOL I take that back I guess we didn't get power steering till 2002.
