My kintetic puts itself to sleep after 3 days of not being worn, however, it still calculates the time. It can stay asleep for four years and as soon as it wakes up, it resets itself to the correct time.

I bet that line works great when picking up girls.

I'd travel to Bangkok, pick up a good knock off and spend the other $9,950 on getting my dick enlarged.

hmmm,.. now you got me thinking... just how much would it cost to get your dhick enlarged? And,... which is the best method? I mean, do you want it enlarged when flacid, or do you want it be enlarged when erect? Or do you want both? Is it better to be a shower not a grower, or do you more grow than show? I guess it depends on your audience? do you want the fan fare and talent quest with the lights on, so that our partner receives the visual turn on by seeing "the hammer of the gods", or would you prefer the lights off, and have your partner suddenly realise that there's something significantly more than "a little lebanese between your knees"....

      something to ponder hmmmmm?

ah.. froggyone, tis true. The eternal question. And in the 37months since i posted i have come to terms with mine ungodly hammer issues and decided, seeing as it no longer even gets asked to functions as a sundial, that i might as well have a watch.. but vexed again - big dial, little dial, classic, sports, bejewelled or hewn roughly in a trolls foundry?

will it rattle on my wrist, is a leather band an no, no, no.. yes?

    5. 01-22-2009 10:59 PM #145
      hahahhaha...superb!

      acting as a sundial! gold!

hewn roughly ina trolls foundry! magic! hahahahahah

made my afternoon! almost more than the bikini clad girls in a blue hyundai who stopped beside me at the curb in downtown Mascot 20 minutes ago, and asked me for directions to Bondi beach.
HOW THE F##k DID THEY END UP IN MASCOT?!?!?!

Hey all, I know there is a few watch nuts out there and I was wondering if you had $10,000 to buy a watch what would you buy...

I like Omega's. Wife got me a Planet ocean 45mm for our anniversary just past. Nice girl.

But I would like a Rolex 50 Anni model with the green bezel.

I've got a Roadster. One of my few watches that I don't wear. In fact I have stopped wearing a watch! Maybe it's time to auction off my watches.

I bought one of those 2 weeks ago. GMT 2 50yr Oyster in yellow gold with black face, green GMT hand and writing on face.

just make sure you tell us how the enlargement goes,... we all could save a lot on money on car mods after that.

Matt, why are you bringing up this thread again? Are you still in the market for a watch? Told ya previously, you can buy my Explorer 2. Actually now is a good time as my watch dealer has a Daytona for me but my wife said I can't have another watch unless I either start wearing them or sell one. Or you can buy that Daytona, rare as hens teeth. I think she wants $14k for it.

In Stainless steel yes. I wore my mates (Stainless) for a few days last year and quite liked it. I don't like the ceramic bezel much (too shiny) but overall it's a comfortable wear.

      Ive always loved them.

Which one is the best to buy and why?

Or should i look at buying a vintage 70's Monaco?

      any with a square face?

also i understand what you are saying that Monaco's are played out but a vintage Monaco from the 70's isnt played out hence why i want to buy a vintage version that just says Heuer instead of TAG

As far as I remember, and this is some time ago, they were going for $20K plus. I bought a re-edition about 10 years ago when they came out and wore it for quite a while that is until everyone started wearing them and they came out in different colours, The Chopard Mille Miglia which I have one is now getting into the same realm as the monaco.
This is what I want next but doubt i'll be allowed to buy it without a monetarily matching 'present' for the missus.

TBH none of those tickle my fancy.

i think its has something to do with it being in the Le Mans movie i dont know i just really like the style of the Monaco.

So i take it Vintage Monaco is the way to go?

You cant say these are played out when they are the original:

      or am i totally wrong?

It's possible some of the very early Tag-Heuer re-editions that just had Heuer on the dial, that or a much more subtle Tag- Heuer logo.

Edit: First run of 5000 made in 1998 didn't have TAG on the dial. Black dial

Instead of the Monaco try an original Autavia, Same mechanism as Monaco, get the white face, blue second hand Jo Siffert model, I bought a '71 one 10 years ago and still wear it every day, it's running a nice perforated black leather strap, totally reliable, just wouldn't be game to see if it is still water resistant.

Don't touch the reissue from 3-4 years ago, molto ugly....

Sorry gone. My neigbour (not really neighbour, we live 10 floor apart) went straight to see my dealer after I told him on email this morning. I couldn't have it (it was on hold for me for 48 hours) so why not let someone I know have it. Should have told me earlier Mark. It's a white face one, saw it tonight. It is STUNNING!

      Really like that.

Nick, that's an interesting watch, but I'm not sure it will date too well. I could be wrong.

Rest assured though that it will date better than Rubens' watch. He's doing his best to make sure he is remembered as a complete sook.

You can have good & reliable... or cheap.

For good & reliable - I'd look at places in the UK like Chronomaster (good) or Heuerboy (expensive). Nick Hacko (clockmaker.com.au - really expensive) sometimes has vintage watches too.

      For cheap - eBay

For somewhere in between - I'd join a few watch forums like timezone & watchuseek, and keep an eye out for what you want, and buy from a reputable seller.

I bought my Sinn from Chronomaster, Carrer Re-edition from Watchuseek, & Heuer Tripledate from eBay!
