I used to play it constantly on Sega Genesis. I didnt discover it until I got Sega-Channel... did anyone else have that available from their cable companies?

There was a Playstation title called Road Rash 3D that allowed you to pretty much free roam. The race would start and you could just blow it off and go cruise around wherever the hell you wanted and the map was surprisingly large. Pretty cool

Well... I spent many nights playing Road Rash on my friends Sega Genesis. It was just sooooooooo good at the time. But to be honest, we fired up Road Rash on a Genesis about 2 years ago and it was pretty bad. I guess I'm spoiled by the better games of today, but it was hard to play.

Man I miss Road Rash... I played the old Sega version a ton, and also the PS1 version. Games were sick. On today's consoles, you could make an insanely sweet road rash.

When i was part of the pitch for a new Road Rash a few years ago, the biggest problem was that UK publishing wouldnt support it, as bike gangs have a very very negative image in the UK market place (one of the UK partners suggested it would be similar to making a game about rapists).

But that was 4 or 5 years ago, perhaps there is something in the works now.

i remember playing this game a lot for Genesis back in the day. the game also was one of the first to feature real songs by bands and is what got me listening to Soundgarden back then.

even a remade and retooled version for Xbox Live Arcade like Bionic Commando would be cool.

i was just talking to a buddy about how awesome this game was, which got us looking up youtube videos of people playing it. (vw nerd: spotted many mk2 golfs in traffic)

i wasted a lot of time playing that on ps1. great game

Killed many hours playing Road Rash on my friend's Sega Genesis! Found a PS1 copy at a used game store a few years ago and play it on my PS3 from time to time. Definitely brings back some fond memories. I would definitely buy it if they remake this for current consoles/PC as long as they keep the old-school gameplay the same.
