I'm listening to the show from 1/24 right now and they are talking to Neil Cavuto, Robin could not be more freakin' ANNOYING!

I definitely agree they could do without Robin, sometimes she is okay but very rarely. I love when she tries to be funny by doing impressions and absolutely nobody laughs. Also, this 1/24 show has been horrible... about 2 hours of complaining over the Fox News story, GET OVER IT!!

I don't agree with that article fully, some of it is right but then again Stern has been like that for years, self promoting, you know I'm right drive. The show has it's moments, just like it did on FM, some days the show is on fire, full of energy and humor, other days it comes in bits and pieces but just like any job, you have some great days and you have some bad ones, just have to ride the wave or get off it when it's not in your taste.

Agreed. They sell the Stern show as a big thing on Sirius and there's quite a few days he's not going to be doing a live show. I'd be pissed too. When he was still on terrestrial radio evey time I listened I always thought that he just wasn't trying to do a show anymore. From the sound of it, Howard still isn't trying, he's just riding on being Howard rather than doing something notable.

Maybe this his last stand? Howard can sit back and collect the big check, but at the same time piss off the fans that bought Sirius assuming a newly re-born Stern show? Sounds to me that he'll do this "show" until his contract ends then disapear. It doesn't sound like he enjoys radio anymore; just sucks that it seems like he's using his fans to accelerate his retirement.

Everyone realizes that they are about 118 other channels on Sirius to listen to right? I bought it for Howard, but love all the other channels

If you add up all the commerical and vacation time (he had plenty @ KROCK!) at the old show, it probably evens out with the new show. Even if it is only 4 days a week, there is more show and less commercials.

I was a HUGE Stern fan for years. I slowly stopped listening to him towards the end of his terrestrial career, but his show was genious. He truly earned the "King of all Media" title back in the 90's. He had a cutting edge radio show, not to mention anyone in the NY area should remember his TV show on WOR 9, which was probably some of his best work.

For years now though he's been off and on saying that he was sick of radio; way before Sirius was even a reality. It seemed like arround the time of him signing his last two contracts with Infinity he kept talking about wanting to get out of the radio game. As the days dwindled on, the show lost alot of the edge it had.

Now I havn't heard much of his show on Sirius, but from the sounds of it it's not the "re-birth" that I was under the impression that it would be. Sounds like he still doesn't want to do radio, come on now, taking 90 days of vacation, plus every Friday off? Doesn't sound like a guy focused on his radio career anymore.

Christ, even Imus who is a dinosaur is on the air 5 days a week. Don's got the pull in the industry to control his own destiny now, and I'm sure he's in a position where he could sit back and retire by now, probably could have years ago. You don't have to like his show (most stern fans dont) but Imus seems like a guy who still has passion for being on the radio.

Anyway, maybe he's got something new up his sleeve, but I personally would have been let down had I bought Sirius to listen to his show. And yeah, I know there's more content on Sirius than just stern, but I know plenty of people who bought Sirius primarily for Stern.

No you said that Howard never mentions 'their' name when he was pissed off at them. He had mentioned their names a few times during his rants on 92.3. I remember clearly him mention them saying how they are looking for his approval (love me daddy) and ripping him off. You guys are funny. Like he didn't take any vacation before or talked for 5 hrs a day straight w/o commercials. I'd bet the amount of time he's on the air live M-Th is greater today than M-F before with all the commercials. Didn't he used to have ~21 minutes per hour of spots before. Now it's like 5-10. Did I mention the replay of the show on 101? My "expectations" of the show are 100% spot-on!!

Anyone who's a Stern fan will love what's going on at Sirius...and even if you don't...the music and other programming is worth the $10/mo alone.

Hmm, I figured listening to and enjoying the guy for 10+ years qualified me as a fan.
I'm also an O&A fan. I always have been.
I listened to Howard in the morning and O&A in the afternoon. I enjoyed them both.
I don't enjoy Howard's new show or most of his shows AFTER Nipplegate.

The fact that he thinks the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES is after him all the time is enough.
Obviously his fans didn't get another president elected during reelection... He really thought he could change the way things went and nothing happened.

I really don't let O&A influence my opinions. I've always given his show a chance and even the new show a chance, but so far I'm underwhelmed. It was supposed to be this HUGE thing and it's not.
