For those of you who want this in a more readable format / who want to make graphs, etc., out of this, I've compiled all of the information listed here by Jessla into a spreadsheet, with the data broken out by driver, mods, turbo kit, PSI where noted, and 1st-4th gear runs, split by HP and Tq.
Spreadsheet is available here (right click to save):
http://www.realfx.com/r32/DynoRuns11406.xls
Nice job guys! Sorry I missed it!
Oh, and here's a handy little graph:

Edit: Smaller picture without truncation.

Why are there two third-runs listed for the EIP Stage 4? Is the first one a bad run?

5. 01-14-2006 05:47 PM #5
So how was Rich's EIP stage 1 running 9psi? Was he running race gas? That is a huge difference from the other EIP stage 1.

I'm confused about that as well, Chris told me that bit on puzzling info on the phone. For some reason, the VF stage 1 car made nearly identical power compared to the VF stage 2, despite stage 2 having slightly higher boost and an FMIC.

11. 01-14-2006 06:20 PM #11
Apparently the new EIP stg1 software can run significantly more boost than the old 5-6psi stuff...
Jeremy(Rabbitgtibbar)'s first 2 runs were at .5 bar; third at .55 according to Rich
Rich's car was around .6 or .63bar and running an open dump on the WG, which apparently adds about 10WHP

curious to know what gains might come out of cams-- do they increase peak power, or just move the curve around?

as per todays numbers, about 7WHP and 9lb/ft of torque.... also the two cam cars were coincidentally running 100octane...
a bigger notice from cams can be had when they are added to a SC kit

They certainly increase power & make the power cuvrve top heavy.

My addled mind is the problem......Rich made a couple additional runs, his first showed no TQ reading.....It's been a long day......

As to the VF 1/VF 2......1/4psi difference...but note.....2 gained, the 1 dropped with each run......

I believe you mean Stage 1? Nothing beat the Stage 4. Also, The FT400 did not beat the HPA TT R32 (it did beat the HPA TT Jetta Wagon though).

Yeah im a little confused on that too. Dont most dynos do a 4th gear pull. Is there really any difference between the 3rd and 4th gear pulls?

Does this mean that the cams aren't worth the money or would the actual graphs show me that the hp/tq is over a broader rpm range? It also seems that the cammed cars were on 100oct which is this correct?

lol "tech" was the owner of the shop
and I know they aren't used to doing 6spds, thus rarely do 4th gear pulls... however, i think it was more done for consistency after the first few cars.

Correct, sorry I saw Rich @ EIP Stag and just figured that was 4. BTW 9psi without a spacer gasket? not sure how long that's going to last.
My point about Power's err, well Power was that he's only making say 50-60hp (whp) less than the twin turbo R32 and it's 1/2 the cost covnversion

I was amazed how close the FT400 was to the TT set ups & how far away the price difference is.
I am glad you did this for us Rabbit! I was struggling with the whole FI options for sometime.. while in my head, a couple things never added up on some of the kits.. but after today, looks like a few of you made great choices!

Yeah, but just looking at peak numbers can kind of be misleading...
I'm waiting for the actual .drf files or someone to post the graphs to
show power delivery. My guess is that the more expensive twin turbo
setups make power sooner and hold onto it more consistently.
And powermind already mentioned the HPA twin turbo car was running
quite lean, so it was having some issues it seems.
That said... I'm all for the power delivery of the FT400 kits! I'll see
you there around mid-2006 powermind! Unless you're already off into
FT450+ territory by then.

quite possibly FT4XX territory
but don't worry Neb its ok to admit you follow sometimes rather than lead....its natural

eip stage 4 looks great, as does the fairly inexpensive stage 1 with modified software - although the someone mentioned the safety concern running 9 psi on that kit.
i'd definitely like to know what was wrong with the hpa tt cars, but props to this avi character for owning two kits. looks like somebody had some cash burning a hole in their pocket.
these numbers really make na tuning look even more costly. i know luis invested quite a bit (at least 75% of a vf stage 1) into his setup and it's still only 30hp above stock.

35. 01-14-2006 10:12 PM #35
i believe that they use 3rd is because its the closet to direct drive.
