Sunday everyone. Sunday!!!!

Did more fork tinkering yesterday, is nearly perfect now. Nice soft travel at first and ramps up progressively. Did some 5ft drops at the park in bondi and was smooth as.

Will put on the 105 rear der tonight too.

Mental note: Buy tubes for bush.

oh ok, but make sure that the tool has EVERY tool available , allen keys, screwdrivers, chain fixer thingo

also take zip ties, small bottle of lube, a big flat head screwdriver, mini shifter and tyre levers.

THE worst thing is to be stranded out in the bush without the proper tool to fix something. Its a long walk to the car !

I thought you were a new guy trying to make friends, "yeah you can borrow my fork". Maybe I should use it? that is if you never want to use it again.

My daughter is going to my mums for the weekend, my son gets the in law. I should (unless we make a last minute dash away) have Sunday or Saturday to myself. It's going to be hard not to leave at 5am for an all day road ride come Saturday morn.

Mam you need to come so we have an even number & I have someone else off the back to talk to.

If you got the tools Aaron, no probs with using the forks long-term, as long
as you don't cut the steerer-tube.
I might get some Fox ones for a rig I'll put together later in the year.

Thanks, but I'm not the guy to lend bike stuff too, not of-road stuff anyway. It has a good chance of breaking.

Those fox forks seem popular, they must be ok. I really am not up to date with mountain bike gear.

I am about to order one of these though. Ferrari has the f40 etc, colnago has the c40, c50. Not sure what colour to get, most prob this all black one.

At least. My current "good" bike cost more than my pug s16. I used to have a 1 bedroom flat with 7-8 bikes in it, at least $25-30K worth, and had an old 2nd hand couch, fridge etc.

You try to justify it on a dollar a day basis. new saddle $300 = less than $1 a day for a year, good value.

Some real good bikes now days, can break $12-13k. My friend decked out a new pinarello around that much and his bookeeper asked him how many bikes he bought? Had to hide that docket from the Mrs.

Yep all good. I do need to speed up through some of the downhill sections though. I think confidence from a FF helmet and a sumo suit will help out. Is still only my second time out on the bike so am reasonably happy.

I think a chain guide is in order to stop the chain flopping around while heading downhill.

So where next? Blue mountains, kanga valley, thredbo?

mmm, on my 2nd ever mtb ride I was taken to thredbo on the cannonball run with vbrakes !and subsequently landed on my chest 3 times, with only a tshirt and shorts - mmm chesty bonds..

Costs for 2 day tickets are: 2 day lift pass is $119 (own bike & full face helmet). Initiation is an additional $30. Total $149.00inc

In terms of equipment, the full face helmet is the only piece that is manditory, everything else we recommend but it it up to you. We have armour for hire.

Season end May 1st.

Thredbo would still be all go though. I am not afraid, i can go down from top to bot in less than 4 min on snowboard. Dont think i would be a able to do that on bike.

Yep it will be warm, has venting over the head from front to back so should be ok when moving. Will be nowhere near as hot as my mx helmet.

Not sure if sunnies will fit. I do have clear lens goggs but they just add to the heat.

Maybe ill get a tennis headband.

Also just bought this. Chain guide for my dual ring setup. 60 delivered from germany. 1/3 the normal cost. I love egay.

Sorry I piked out. Sat was a massive day for me and my fitness, wen't way too long/hard then came home and painted the hallway at home. I now have tonsilitis (sp?) and have a tonne of work to do.

I did cheer myself up on the weekend however, bought one of these in black like the pic,

Custom drawn Columbus Airplane w carbon rear end and carbon fork.

I'll be out for a ride soon. that's for sure. Now I can just ride mellow and hope the tonsil's/cold goes away and keep some form, or stop get back my fitness and loose all form? Bugger
