The engine is a long block and the parts are all here (other than the oil pump).

I ordered a gasket kit...and I don't know where any of these go, ideas? The top three are out of a set of about 10.



I need to find some freeze plugs as well, and order an oil pressure guage, but it is coming together nicely thanks to Dave's tools!

Those look a lot like valve stem seals to me. Are you sure there weren't 12 of them?

the big ring reminds me of the oil cooler o ring. there is one on each side of it I think.

I cant remember the rest.
as for freeze plugs, John knows what to use in there. He had to do his a couple years ago. I will ask him if he doesnt reply in here.

Ah, valve stem seals, ok. M&J rebuilt my head, so they put new ones in already.

Putting the rest of the engine together today, and might get it back in the car if all goes smoothly. Waiting for the oil pressure gauge I ordered, so I won't get everything running, but I should be close. Hopefully make it out to a Friday soon!
