Just throwing something out that may be family friendly. Some people think of others you know.

Not Jeremy. He's arrogant and unfriendly.

Has anyone talked to a manager at Applebee's to see if we can do the arrangement we had before with Mike - we call ahead and say "hey, it's the VW guys, we have X people tonight" regardless of what server they are going to give us? Is this worth trying?
OTOH, that might only solve half the problem because the service once we get a table has also been lackluster.

I think Brittany is good at taking care of our table. so the service isnt an issue if brittany is our server.
Alexis has her # like she had mike's so that isnt an issue.
I have called ahead and they say that they dont do call aheads, so going through Brittany is the only way i think.
i guess we could talk to a manager and arrange it.

I asked the manager two weeks ago if I could see the liquor license... and he didn't even know where it was. He looked around but couldn't find it.

What difference does it make? They don't serve any real alcohol anyway.

by a new AZ law they will have to post the "no firearms" sign by the liquor license.
no sign= free to carry concealed.
but that isnt what i was talking about. i just meant that we can ask about preferred seating since we are "regulars".

They won't do groups larger than 8.

perhaps someone could call buddy's and see if they have changed their rules on parties?
i have no problem going to Applebees, however, the Applebees on Wetmore just put up the "no firearms" sign. So I think the Grant/Swan location will be doing it soon if they didnt do it this week.
if Buddy's accepts firearms and large parties, it could be a win.
im open for suggestions.

Chuys is also close by, has drink and food specials, and it's seat yourself so they don't care about group sizes... Last time I was in there they had not posted a 'no firearms' sign.

Why does the new carry law seem so important? Caveat being I understand the reason for the law, but do you carry on Fridays Jerm?

yes. i carry everywhere except at school where it is illegal to do so. i guess i do a pretty good job concealing.
also, the carry law is another right that we have won back.
so, supporting restaurants that do not support our rights is counterproductive. I just wont go to the bees anymore if they put the sign up. I will however, continue to come out for starbucks.

I certainly recognize your right to chose where to go based on your beliefs, but a big chain like the bees probably will never notice the loss. That doesn't diminish the principle though.

that sucks, i just ate there today. (typing about it made me want some).
simple equation, just do:
x(vw/8) where vw=veedubers and x=# of tables.
or sumpin like that. ive been outa skool for some years now.
That's street knowledge anyways.

New to Vortex, been on GolfMKV for a quick minute. Names Derrick, I've had my Golf for about a year and have lived in Tucson for nearly four years. Wanted to see what this Starbuck's meet was all about, Joel told me good things. I'm in for the 9th, looking forward to meeting you guys.

Derrick,
Good to see you found the link I sent you! It is a sick crowd, but there are also some sick rides, and a lot of knowhow around here. Look forward to seeing you on the 9th..though I am sure I will be in the MINI as I haven't had it for 4 months and am looking forward to driving her!
