Didn't know if people were going out or not tomorrow.
Didn't know what track you guys were talkin about either.
I won't be going either way just seeing if anyone is interested.
Getting my Short Throw Shifter Friday and possibly my N75J.

got a question for all of you. the opportunity might present itself to trade my gti for a 97 2.0 jetta. pretty nice, comparable in miles and all. the only way this trade is going to happen is if enough cash is thrown on top for me to turbo it.

what are youre thoughts? vr6 or 2.0t?

I Say stick to the VR6 and my best was a 14.8 at 99MPH with a 2.89 60ft. Traction owend me. Roll off the line then punchit and nothin but wheel spin. Slicks are in the works I should easily run 13.5 with that trap speed.

i agree with andrew. you are not going to get the power you want with the 2.0t. all of the people that i have talked to, who have done it, says that it is fun to drive but not the power they thought they would have.

    the vr6 is staying.

and with that, ive a got a newer cylinder head (72k as opposed to my 135k) on the way and need some help putting it on. any of you have access to a shop and experience doing this? i will likely need to put in new valve stem seals and take the cams off my current head and use those.

after the new head is in i will be attempting to p+p the current one and fix the valve guides/valves that are bad. and probably put some 262 cams in. maybe something more aggressive if i can afford it.

see you guys are not trained professionals like peter and i. try getting a sunpass module from driver to driver without wrecking.
