Well I won't be turning the maroon Corrado in the garage into my street car after all.... I scored a 92 SLC Friday night. It doesn't run, the engine wiring is shot and it needs an ignition switch. The paint is pretty faded and ugly (Tornado Red) but should clean up a bit with a good wash, buff and wax. That's the bad. The good is that the body is very straight and the interior is easily an 8.5! It even still has the factory floor mats!

Believe me I'm gonna do it as fast as I can. Unfortunately first I need to finish gutting the blue car, get rid of the shell, get the new one here from Mims, move the maroon shell out of the garage and into the driveway. And oh yeah I also have a job and family that eat up a lot of my time.

On a totally different subject, Anybody want an Autopower Bolt in roll cage for a MK3 Golf or GTI? I'll let it go cheap..... really cheap.

I have the whole thing it's never been installed and I'd like to get $200 for it. They are over $1000 shipped from autopower.

Got to drive the TDI around the block but it was just a test run. Fixed a few problems and went to put the downpipe back on and the cheap vband clamp I bought from silicone intake broke. Don't buy their clamps. They are crap. If anybody has a 2" vband I'd greatly appreciate it if I could use it.

I'd do a weld in cage instead of a bolt in cage but that's just me. :p Don't they require weld in cages for most sanctioned racing? Not that you are doing any sanctioned racing but I figure they wouldn't require it if it didn't meet some safety standard.

Actually the autopower bolt in cages are both SCCA and NASA certified. That being said I will only drive race cars with welded in cages.

    Sold it James?

Got the TDI able to drive around now. Not making boost for some reason though. I think I killed the MAP sensor. I dropped it once while it was out of the car.

that could potentially be a bad thing. No not sold yet. gotta get it up and running first. It has sat for 7 years gotta hope the fuel in the tank hasn't completely gelled up. replace the fuel filter and probably glow plugs before it will fire up. then gotta get the back drivers side wheel to break loose and spin freely. clean out the interior. sat in a field for those 7 years and Mice had taken up residency. So because of mice I have to check wiring and make sure that it's not ruined either. did I mention it's an imported coupe turbo diesel? I think it has rear fogs definitely has rear side markers. got a lot of stuff to do to this car before i can try and sell it.

Anybody interested in a set of heim jointed tubular lower control arms with ball joint pins? very similar to these: http://scch-heads.com/viewpart.php?id=5 but fully adjustable. They'll fit a MK2 Mk3 or Corrado chassis.

Nobody? How about I lend you 300 bucks so I can borrow the cable if that's an issue of not trusting.
