Personally I'm ditching the VR in my 92 SLC for an ABA on megasquirt to start and once I get my 20/20 rebuilt with good internals it's going in along with a Borg Warner EFR ( if it ever comes off backorder).
yeah i had a VR jetta it ran warm. my main concern is EVERYONE says they break more than norm VW.. how so? im used to a Mk3 and a Mk4. what goes wrong on them? are they more difficult to work on than the Mk3 due to lack of space?

the obd1 VR with the distributor, is that nothing to sweat about? im used to the Coil Pack VRs lol so basically if i bought this Corrado what am i lookin forward to in terms of repair?

a VR is a VR man, they are easy to work on and are solidly dependable every day.
the only thing you need to be concerned about is finding body parts and interior parts at an affordable price

My buddy Tim is selling his Green 92 SLC. Pretty nice car: Solid body, NO SUNROOF, Tan leather interior, cold A/C, VR with an Ebay header, cat delete and eurosport cat back, sounds really really good. Converted to coilpacks and MS3/3X, Stock BBSes with new Kuhmos 205/50R15 1 center cap missing. TATechnicks coilovers, new paint on the hood front bumper and spoiler. $6000 OBO

Left rear strut is leaking - now know the cause of my premature inside tire wear/chop - ugh. Pricing 4 new struts vs. an entire spring kit that includes the struts. Any suggestions?

I would recommended just buying coilovers, you can set them to your desired height and will be cheaper them springs and shocks.

here is all the info posted

So with Cinco de Mayo coming up I figured we could do something cool... spend the day seeing how slow your car is and getting fat on BBQ and Beer. Brilliant right?

The event will start at 10:00AM and will most likely run until 6:00PM, so still plenty of time for you to go out and get SHWASTED for Cinco de Mayo in the evening. It is being held at PRS in Sanford, they are coming in special on Sat. to run this event for us.

15 Cars will be able to get on the Dyno, first come first served.

    USEFUL INFORMATIONS

    $40 for 3 Pulls w/NO Wideband
    $50 for 3 Pulls w/Wideband

(Wideband will give you your A/F info, so if you aren't custom tuning the chances you'll need it are unlikely, but its there if you want it)

If you're slammed, unslam your **** for the day or you won't be able to get your car on the Dyno.

If you want to help the guys running the Dyno you can remove your skidplate/guard so that they have ample mounting points. This will get you on the Dyno and get you your results quickly, allowing for more cars to get runs in.

STUFF THAT WILL MAKE PEOPLE LIKE YOU MORE

Bring some beer and some food... its going to be like a pot luck, only awesome. Grills will be provided and I'm sure a few of us will be more than happy to provide coolers and Ice. Burgers, Hot Dogs, Buns, Chips, Chicken... its all good! Post up below with what you're going to bring so we don't end up with all drinks, or all plates... all beer may work though.

    Family and Friends are welcome!

If I had the $40 (let alone the gas$$$) I'd come up and throw the XC on
Someday soon my friends, this ride will come to an end - but we can't just get in line again.

( I got a new MkII for you all to make fun of )

Sad day for the R, due to 2 bad O2 sensors she could only put down 209HP on the mustang dyno...
