Was a Henri Lloyd Yachting GT, but I took off the lip and replaced it with a VR6 lip from eBay.
Still has the HLY grill.

In the last year I've replaced the battery and brakes.
Getting a new PS pump and serpentine belt next week.
Has a weird rattle/hum in the exhaust at low speeds, which is probably just a loose heat shield or coupler or something. The exhaust passes inspection, so I haven't worried about it.

I've got two extra sets (8 total) of nearly new winter (M+S rated) wheels/tires that come with it, as well as a box of car wash goodies and some jumper cables.

Back fender flares and black trim on rear bumper are a little faded.

I've got a 1996 US Spec Golf MK3 GTI VR6 for sale.

It is definitely a project car, but I just don't have the time for it. Some stuff has come up and I may be leaving sooner than expected and I plan on taking my '86 back.

Like I said, it's a project car. Currently registered on the German system from the guy I got it from, but I will straighten out the registration before the transfer. Motor runs well. Recently cleaned the TB and intake pipe and replaced the MAF with a newer used item, replaced the coil with a good used item and got it running pretty smooth. Also has a B&M short shifter, custom exhaust (that sounds pretty good... not too loud), coil over sleeves, front drilled rotors... Also have like three of the Ford V6 coils if you want the upgrade.

The bad....

Paint is rough on the front bumper, dents here and there, ABS light is on, tear on drivers seat bolster, pretty sure the drivers window regulator is toast, and I think it needs a wheel bearing.

It needs some work. But if you know the junkyard scene around here, it will definitely be an easy fix.

It's Red in color. Has air bags, power steering, A/C... and like I said it's US Spec.... so easy take home when you go.

Asking $1700 obo... I'll get pics up next chance I get... working overnights now, so I'll do what I can.

Cleaning the garage and would like to get rid of two potenza RE050As 225/40/R18s. The tires still have a couple of seasons left on them. $200 OBO. I need to sale a pair if MK6 BI-xenon housings. This set was removed off a 2010 Golf GTD. This pair does not have the led strip for daytime running lights. To do a retrofit to a halogen equipped MK6, you will need a "highline" cecm, light adapters, xenon light kit with ballisters and some VAGCOM coding. I would be happy if I could get $500 dollars. I have a complete 1.8T from an US spec 2001 Jetta with 80,xxx miles, I forgot to write down the exact mileage. It has a K03 Sport turbo, the complete car wiring harness, front axles/brakes, rear brakes, down pipe, complete dashboard with the cluster and the ECU. The motor is a AWW with a O2J trans. I have a few other odd and end pieces, such as window motors and door/trunk latches as well. I have TMO coming on the 25th, so I hope to have it gone by then. I really don't need to sell it, but it will be in storage for 6 months and I would rather another person get enjoyment from it! If interested make me an offer!

The unthinkable may be happening... I might need to sell the Syncro.

Some family stuff going on back in the US, so I'm going to be moving back to the US in approximately 12 months (maybe less), and I need to sell off the fleet.

The Passat and the up! are going for sure, but the Syncro is up in the air, because it's old enough to ship back to the US. If I don't get a good enough offer to tempt me to sell it....I will try my damndest to ship it back to the US..

Repairs:
Timing belt & alternator belt: done about 25,000km ago w/ tensioner
New Oil pan: done last year(wanna see what happened to the old one? lol)
All Hoses done this year
Almost a complete brake overhaul this year (only things that weren't replaced were the front calipers, proportioning valve, and the lines/hoses)
Master Cylinder replaced about 2 years ago
OEM Heater Core bypass installed (prevents the famous MKII heater core blowout)
Radiator replaced 2 years ago
Thermostat replaced (again) this year, with new outlet.
Both front wheel bearings replaced last year, passenger side hub was replaced at the same time.
All front CV boots done last year

I'm probably forgetting something, but that's most of it.

Parts waiting to be installed:
Rebuilt rear differential
Passat G60 Syncro rear sway bar
All 3 engine mounts
Zender hatch spoiler

Stuff that needs to be done:
Typical MKII rear wheel arch rust (not bad, but should be tended to soon)
Typical MKII door rust (was just going to replace the doors at some point...)
Typical MKII hatch rust.
Engine leaks (not terrible, but it's there)
Tranny leaks (again, not terrible)

I wasn't going to fix the oil leaks, because I was in the process of collecting parts to build a better engine for it...

If you want to have a look at it, let me know, and we can set up a time. She's not perfect, but still in damn good shape for an '86. Much better than 90% of the Golf Syncros on the market at the moment.

your not going to get a scirocco since those are on the economy unless you plan on being in germany for awhile. I have a mk6 gti and i love it. awesome car. if you like the mk6 but also like the r32 you could get a golf r. another awesome creation from VW
