So WTH....Jones nearly ripped his toe off and one other fighter almost did the same thing with his thumb?

I mentioned on another board that there was either a physiological issue or a substance issue for him to give himself a compound fracture on his own toe. Holty kaow, the neckbeards and isht lords came out of the woodwork to tell me what a Sonnen-loving moron I was. Oh, because we see non-impact injuries like this in power lifting, boxing, wrestling, and MMA all the time
Bones is obviously a specimen, but something just ain't right with his body for that to happen off a sprawl.
Oh, and did Chael hint at retirement at the end of the fight when he said "this was my last chance"?

Bas was just talking about this very topic. He summed it up to "these things happen" he has been in the fight business longer then most and can recall many occasions where freak things like this happen.
I would say it has more to do with physics and wrong place at the wrong time....
I think Chael did indeed mention that he is looking at the end. If he cant be champ then he wont fight. He failed 3 times now. He could be a good gate keeper, possible contender again but I dont think he can accept that.

would have liked to see him go out with a win. another one that could have been so much better if they would have started at a younger age.

thought it was a great main and co main.
just shows that chris had no business being in there with a beast like jacare
and luke looked scared. nice KO anyway.
give vitor silva / weidman winner. he deserves the rematch.
