Thread: AMG rims on your Audis.

  1. 03-07-2002 05:28 PM #1
Are any of you rolling on AMG or any Mercedes rims? I'd love to see pics..and what does it take to fit them on a B5?

    Thanks.

I was going to get Carlsson rims for the A4, but it never panned out. Those wouldnt be bad. I saw a guy with Mercedes rims on apearl white A4. It didnt look terrible, but I wouldnt want the Mercedes three pointed star on my wheels

Ah so I now know that 18"s will fit, how about the RS II 8 x 18 ones that audi sells..

AMG wheels are absolutely beautiful . . . when they're on a Mercedes.

If you Told me my Porsche wheels didnt belong on my old GTI I'd laugh at you. I'd throw AMG wheels on my Audi too..if a wheel fits right, and look good and go with the lines of the car I'm all for it. Who cares if they are "Exclusive" for a certain brand car?! I want to do either AMG Aero II Monoblocks or Carlsson 1/6 Evo diamond on my car, both of which are "Mercedes Only" wheels.

I found this thread in my search. Figured I'd use it rather than start a new one about the same thing. I'm looking for a picture of the 5 spoke wheels. I should have been more specific.

Awesome! Thanks for the help guys. I must say it's pretty nice to be out of the mk2 forum for awhile.

I didn't need to bore out any holes or use any spacers or even get longer bolts, just hubcentric rings...

Also I second you don't have to bore out the centers. They are actually larger and all you need is some hubcentric rings. If you buy a set from a user more than likely they will have the rings too.

You are thinking of the wrong holes. You do have to drill the bolt holes on some benz wheels.

17x7.5/8.5 AMG monoblocks. Off a 2001 CLK I think, I can't remember off hand. Had to get the lug holes bored to 14mm. Older Mercs ran 12mm.

You have to use the Audi lugs because thats what will fit in the hub. So you'll have to mill out the holes, its not hard. All you need is a steady drill and the right bit. Or you can do a stud kit.

Came on vortex to get an answer to my problem, and what do you know the first thread title is exactly what i need. Hoping someone will know what im going through

I just bought some AMG wheels for the audi, i need to know where to get extended lugs for them. Ill need spacers for the rear or they wont fit. And for the front... for stance ;]
