We don't have official meets anymore, but we continue to post on this thread for VW people in and around the Danbury area. During the summer we make cruises and crash other GTG's, and in the Spring we run Dubs on Defrost.

ok, so we are up to 3... now I am wondering if this should be a monthly thing or what... I would think if it were weekly it would get boring (if no new people showed up) and die out... anyway, I'm thinking something like the last Friday of each month or something along those lines.... what ever the general availability is for most of the prospective attendees.

i was part of the danbury gtg of last year at bennigan's. things kinda died down and when were consitantly having just a core of 2-3 people some nights. i like the format change of monthy so its easier on everybody, because with a weekly you could get a week packed and a dead week, but monthly enough people can plan ahead.

Yes i agree once a month would be good i vote arby's in Danbury would be a good spot any one else have any ideas on meeting spot

Arby's might be too small if we get too many people. Maybe.... the Bob's parking lot next door?

And D&D in Southbury would be perfect for me personally, since I actually live in Waterbury now and work at IBM in Southbury... but I think that's a bit far for Danbury people.

OK, so let's *very* tentatively schedule this for the first Friday of every month at the Bob's parking lot (clothing store not furniture) way down in the bottom out of the way at uhhhh.... 7? 8? whenever... just evening till whenever, unless our friendly law enforcement officials give us ****.... next Friday is the 1st of Sept and *hopefully* the first of many GTG's!!!

Now let's hope this is a convienient time/day/place for everyone... god I hate organizing crap

Edit: My gf has also suggested Starbucks off of exit 2.... a lot of people already congregate there and the cops don't bother them too much... so whatever seems most popular... plus, it's a 24 hour starbucks, so lot's o' caffiene to keep everyone happy

Tons of cars go to starbucks every week end, there are atleast 100 people. For a while this summer the cops didnt care now there starting to show up again becuase of the people in starbucks complaining. But its still a prime place to meet because its right off the high way and the parking lot is huge

Yeah I used to go there all the time which is why I am surprised I didn't think of it and my gf did...

Yeah I think first Friday of the month should be the official day... so the Friday the 1st (a week from today) a Starbucks off of exit 2.
Directions: Take 84, either way, and get off exit 2. Look around
I will probably show up around 6 or 7, I'll park in the back kinda out of the way and close to the entrance. I will have a Reflex Silver Mk4 GTI and most likely my gf's dark grey 94 Passat VR6.
