Well, here's what's been happening with Dimitri's VRT:
Got it in, and parts started flying off...
So at that point, dis-assembly was pretty much done. Only thing I'll have to take off is the downpipe to weld on another bung for the lugtronics wideband. So, things started to go back on.
First order of business was to change out the stock motor mounts (which were in surprisingly good shape) with BFI's Delrin mounts.
These went pretty smooth, except for the passenger rear mount, which had a seized bolt, so I had to unbolt the whole mount from the motor, and take it out as a whole so I could wrestle the bolt out on the bench.
Nice bolts Dimitri! LOL
After that, bigger injectors went in:
42DD SAI Plug:
ANNNNND, I polished the Intake Mani. I can't not polish a VR manifold
Core support removed and stripped of all that stupid rust that was on it, and repainted That thing really bothered me
AC is completely gone (I'm going to try to get him to put in a non-AC heater core ).
EVAP is completely gone, including that stupid tank in the passenger fender
EGR is gone and deleted
SAI is gone and plugged thanks to 42DD
New VC Gasket
New upper intake mani gasket
So now that all this stuff is done, Lugtronics is going on today, and all the needed plumbing, etc. I'll also be starting on the exhaust this afternoon. It's going to be awesome!!!!!
