UPDATE: Megan Racing shipped us the wrong cat-backs: They are actually 20th anniversary cat-backs. The only difference is the tip: instead of dual tips, it is a single 3.5" tip. They're made to fit the stock 20th ann. valence, but it will also fit the 03-05 valence

Is the soundclip you posted equipped with the MR downpipe as well? Or is it a stock downpipe?
Also, are the dual-tipped systems the same price as offered here?

  21. 08-26-2006 09:13 AM #21
The sound clip is a Megan Racing downpipe and custom straight pipes afterward. With a normal cat-back (resonator & muffler) it wouldn't be as loud

You might want to take it to a muffler shop before you install....Have them reweld the flange....as the photo show's, it's a THIN THIN weld (rusting already) that, when subjected to the twist of the engine, will break. Still cheaper than the competition, but then again, look at their welds...MUCH THICKER.

Do you have a catback available for a '01 Wolfsburg?

    Thanks, Craig

I've dogged mine for 10k miles with stock engine mounts and it's fine

Will this dp and exhaust cause a check engine light due to the rear o2 being thrown off?

All downpipes can cause a CEL. If it does there are several mods to counteract the problem, and of course if you have a chip from any a major brand (Apr, GIAC, Revo, etc) you can use their test pipe file.

I have had my Full 2.5 Megan TB for 9k miles and a little over 8 months. Absolute best bang for your buck out there. No leaks, cracks looks and sounds great for 1/2 of everyone else.

You will need to purchase a coupler to go from the 55mm exhaust to the 2.5" downpipe. They aren't expensive though. ECS Tuning sells them and I'm sure others do as well.
