That jump pass...*shudders*

Don't know much about him, but I saw a special on him on ESPN a while back, just wondering what others knew about him, and if you think he is going to tear up the college ranks, then move on to the NFL?He looked very good on the ESPN special, and I love how UofFL puts him in at the end of the game to just take the snap and run it every time

Anyway, I forsee very good things in his future, wondering if anyone else thought the same.

He's pretty much Alex Smith Part II so I think Florida's offense will be even better next year. Leak is a very good college QB but Tebow is made for that offense.

I'm not sure about the pro ranks yet maybe next year after some full games under his belt. Its great to watch him just stiff arm the defenders and plow down the line. His arm is not bad either.

He better learn to stop trying to give everyone else the big hit, or someone is going to lay him out in severe fashion.

Quite possibly the worst pass completion I've seen in my lifetime.

They showed clip of him playing with a broken leg. Part of the reason I like him, not afraid take a hit, and he is tough.
It may hurt him one day, but I enjoy that type of play, I get tired of QB's sacrificing plays because they are afraid to get hit.

being an alabama fan and wanting him to attend bama he is much better for florida's offense.Unfortunately though these runs he is doing and all that jazz will not last long in the SEC a whole season. Yes FL is playing great ball right now but Tebow will benefit a lot. I do not believe he will last because the sec is going to be brutal for a running qb, hell half the running backs dont last a season.
anyways good for UF for being #2 lets hope they do something with it.

Well I graduated from Nease High School(Same school he went to) in 2003 and my brother graduated the same year Tebow did so I saw him play first hand in high school. Here is my thought on this kid, seeing how he is and how he plays I don't think he will last very long. During high school he has never taken a hard hit from anyone ever. So once someone really just clocks him he will do good but if someone catches him good I think he will be pretty hurt. That's just my opinion being able to see him play in high school.

They're different. Tebow is WAY more athletic, it remains to be seen if he's as smart (in the college game, still waiting for Smith to show signs in the pros).
Tebow will get Urban Meyer a national title shot.

and don't shudder at the jump pass, Urban pulls out the stops when he can, you'll see plays that haven't been in playbooks since the 50's (ala the jump pass) or haven't been in playbooks at all. The guy loves to run fake kicks, which is so damn awesome, I hate the kicking game. I'm not a UF fan, but I can't help but be intrigued and think of what might have been had Urban stayed at UTAH

that jump shot was badass. ugly? sure. effective? obviously.tebow is a beast. he's only a freshman. he'll do fine. urban meyer is one of the best coaches in college right now. he knows how to groom quarterbacks.

As far as qb's go, Chris Leak is much better at this point. While Tebow looks to be a player with great promise, he side-arms the ball. And although he is fearless when running, do you want your star qb banging with 300 pounders?Remember, every top 20 college team has a high school star at qb. He is different, seems to be a playmaker, but it's early.
The NFL??? C'mon now guys![]()

I posted in another thread that you see elite QBs studying overhead photos of defensive sets during games. You see elite QBs firing up their players.
You see Tebow off by himself, supposedly praying.
Here's an editorial that pretty much same same thing ...

Great minds debating Tebow in this video.

Gotta cut him a little slack. He hasnt even played a full season in the NFL. The jury is definitely out on what his legacy will turn out to be.

Yeah, I guess with Sanchez as QB of the team I like, I really shouldn't be throwing stones.![]()

I was going to mention that, but didnt want to bust your balls. ...and its interesting to note (on that subject), if you look at Sancchez's stats and Eli's at the some point in their careers... they're pretty similar. Its pretty rare that a rookie comes into this league and realizes his potential in the first 3 seasons let alone the 1st one.

Do you know of any football statistics site like these for baseball, and basketball, respectively?

I kinda went through something similar as a Bears fan.
My blinders had me thinking Grossman was the stuff. He helped he team start off like 9-0 took them to the SB and I thought he was the QB the Bears had been looking for.
Haters "come on man for every good game he has he then has a qb rating of 40"
me "but but the bears keep winning"
haters "they are winning inspite of him not because of him, its all about the special teams and defense"
me "shut up your wrong I hate you Grossman for life"
So what do I know except that Grossman is probably a better "QB" and he can hardly even keep his job as a starter.
Doubt Tebow will be able to be better unless he gets that pass percentage way up.
IMO it will be hard to bring in talent at the skill positions [WR ect] that will want to play with that style QB.

Thanks.
You're right. Sanchez's ratings are like Mannings first few seasons.
#30
Would you also take into account the weapons within the offense? Sanchez for example had more yards and TDs this year over any of his previous 2 or 3...he also had 5 more INTs...at the same time, they were playing from behind alot which may have caused him to pass exceptionally more and abandon the run...trumping his #s

Give him even more credit. Played through torn rib cartilage and a bruised lung in the pats game

Tebow reportedly was playing hurt with bruised lungs and chest. He's going through what Michael Vick went through. He needs to improve his passing game soon or else he'll have a very short career.
