This thread goes pretty quick and is sometimes hard to follow but if you're a VW/Audi enthusiast and want to get involved with the VW/Audi community in the area then hit reply and introduce yourself!
We have weekly get togethers at the Draught House Pub (DH) every Tuesday night at 8pm.
The DH is on the corner of 42nd and Medical Pkwy. We usually park across the street so we can all back in next to each other. Photo ops yo! ic:
Hey it's Mel again. I've been on the board for a few years and I have posted sporadically...
I was wondering if there's anyone in the Austin area that would have a vag-com to set readiness codes on my gti. I had the alternator and battery replaced recently and it cleared everything. After getting it inspected, I was told there was not enough data (readiness codes) for it to pass. So I drove the car for 60 miles, took it back and it came back with the same thing.
So, instead of driving it on the highway for another 60-90 miles (w/the chance of the codes not setting), I'd rather have someone set those codes manually and I can head back to the inspection spot and get this over with.
Anyone here know how to do this? Difficult?
Thanks in advance!

just drive it for a week so everything will set in right..instead of forcing it and screwing things up if that were to happen...besides if you failed you have 15 days to get a FREE re inspection...just drive it like how you do and then go back....free is good
