    Looking good guys AND gals!

Wish I could've came out and took some pics/video. Looks like it was a really good turn out.

@Jason: What was the rig on top of your car for? pics or video footage? Cant wait to see what can be done using one of those set ups. I was planning on picking up a kit. But I need to learn more bout it first.

I'm sure if he were dumping it on the ground with some BBS RS on it, the feedback would be more positive.

I'm in for the Fry's meet!

Thanks Mark for getting us the perfect photo spot! I'd love to go back there sometime and do some individual shots with some people.

A couple of us stayed late to test some stuff and get some individual shots. Thanks to Luis, Al and Marble for helping! I'll have more group ones up later. Here's a couple that I cleaned up today.

It's just a couple heavy-duty suction cups, an extension pole for painting and some nuts and a bolt the same size as a tripod mount. This was the first time using it. We learning that I'll need a thicker pole to prevent bouncing (yes, there was "that's what she said" all night). The rolling shots were taken with it then the pole photoshopped out. The cars were moving less than 5mph for each of those but with a 1-2 second exposure it makes it look zippy.

I am really on the edge with my .:R. Everyday I struggle to keep my love for it. I'm a go fast guy at heart, and the .:R will never do it for me without some serious coin. My wife doesn't mind keeping it while I get myself a toy, but she really wants an Audi or BMW so I don't want her to settle. I may end up trading it in for a GTI or TDI, even a used Audi or something.

    So far I have:
    Modified VF intake
    Catless - Custom 3in exhaust
    Giac ECU software

If I do decide to keep it, it will be staying NA for sure.

I'm sure if he were dumping it on the ground with some BBS RS on it, the feedback would be more positive.

What else are you looking at? Personally I'd get HF cats and a proper tune. Both catless and GIAC are dyne proven to be no bueno.

Do you track the car? If you want better track time then go Shawns route. If you just want go fast then do a basic turbo or by a proper car (more expensive than turbo!).

Ok so wow lots going on here! I love it! Yesterday was spent entirely with Lauren's brother at Enchanted Rock so I didn't have time to do any photo stuff since we were still using the camera.

I promise to post up everything today. I'll do my best to eliminate any fuzzy shots not worthy but everything will be in a flickr set that everybody will be able to access too. I can even setup drop box for anybody wanting direct access to the picture files. Camera is still in use this morning by Lauren so look this afternoon for them.

THANK YOU ALL FOR COMING OUT TO SHAWN'S GTG!!!!!!

I'm sorry we got disconnected at the beginning, but in the end we all made it!!!!

WOW TYLER!!! Dude you and Joe need to get together to do the photos in the hanger. Between the video's and shots you two would do, it would be an epic epic GTG that no one will want to miss if they want their car exposed so nicely I will work on doing that for us very soon so let's start thinking of a time in July. I really hope our air ride folks can make it out

....and Jason let it be known your car is my desktop wallpaper until further hotness trumps that shot. It will be a while i think

Between the video's and shots you two would do, it would be an epic epic GTG that no one will want to miss if they want their car exposed so nicely I will work on doing that for us very soon so let's start thinking of a time in July. I really hope our air ride folks can make it out
July sounds good for me. I go on leave right after July 4th weekend. Then I'll be on leave till I fly to Kuwait. Let me know I would be honored to do a video for you guys

Haha. I know, I'm really stuck on this decision. It is one of my dream cars, but after owning it for a little over 7 months, it's like blah right now.

I'm not looking to "stance" anything out. I'm a function > form kinda guy.

Do you track the car? If you want better track time then go Shawns route. If you just want go fast then do a basic turbo or by a proper car (more expensive than turbo!).
When I bought the car it already had the GIAC ECU software and VF intake. I admit that I rushed into going the catless route and do sorta regret it at this point (CEL).

If I do keep it, my plans are:
    UM DSG software
    UM E85 Engine software
    Shrick Cams
Forge catted downpipes and resonated catback
    Pullies

Then try to enjoy for what it is; a limited edition car.

I don't track it, but I'd like to. I don't plan to drop the coin for a turbo kit cause let's face it, it is a big chunk of change for hardly any faster times.

I guess I'll see what happens after I get myself a fun daily driver. See if the wife still wants to keep the car. I'm looking at something Domestic or Japanese.

Pictures are uploading very slowly ...... internet today in my area is crap so just be patient and take 2 doses of "refresh" or "F5" when viewing the stream. Time permitting i'll put them into their own set.

PM me your drop box account info and i'll be happy to share as many pics as I can at once.

Jason - the low shot came out great man. It should be up soon so you can see it yourself.

Marble you are right, I should have stayed later. RJ was itching to take his car out on the road upon my return and our baby sitter a.k.a. mother-in-law is out in vacation for the week or we would have both be out (I would have had to drag him).. yes, next time. I want him to make a debut for the VR for sure!

cheers for nice weather, friends, cameras, and euro goodness

oh yea and duh.. Mandi's car is rocking on the new kicks!! so glad the wait is over for you you!
