Its going to be humid as phuck tonight with the temperature hovering close to 100......but who's in tonight?

Would you all rather find a nice cool place to enjoy the evening instead of standing outside?

Make a comment if you're planning on meeting up tonight.

Oh and one of my owners recently went to Tokyo and stumbled upon Flat4 which apparently is the biggest VW place in Japan ....not sure on that but either way he found a link for me to some really awesome photos. This place is a must see if you ever get to that part of the world.

Japan is the new Mecca of air-cooled. All the super fast drag bugs that are for sale end up over there. Strange but they pay the $$ for well known/built cars.

Sweet. Won't miss you this week for sure then. Can't wait to see your seats in person man.

We might have a new beetle coming out to the DH tonight

A gal named Denise found my email address and contacted me about coming out to hang. She's had VW's her whole life (85 Rabbit), 03 beetle replaced the Rabbit, and now her beetle was replaced with another new beetle. She wanted to know if there are other gals in the group and make it out so I mentioned Lauren, Mandi, Val, Renee, Dash & Margaret just off the top of my head.

She might or might not make it out but let's do our best to welcome her to the group! Its pretty cool to add another gal to the group that loves everything VW.

Hi! Denise here! The new beetle owner
I would LOVE to make it out tonight but I have dinner plans with a friend, I should be able to make it out next Tuesday if y'all are meeting again.
Can't wait to meet some new people and show off my new car, she's a beauty! My husband, who I'll probably be bringing as well, is trying to talk me into lowering her a bit....

    I'm going to skip tonight.

Hey fellow .:Rare .:Racecar drivers. How do I change my Haldex oil if the Haldex oil I got isn't in a tube like a caulk gun? I got the wrench filter and oil from DBC as a kit and the oil is just in a normal oil bottle. All the how-to's show it in a tube that you can squirt up in dat.

    Help computer.

You're going to need a pump to pull the fluid from the bottle to feed up into the haldex but that is a bithc to do and you'll most likely spill some of the fluid. In my opinion Tyler, send that whole kit back, borrow the wrench from one of us and just buy your kit OEM from the dealer. Its what I've always done b/c the price isn't that much different once you include shipping and it always always comes in a tube where you can self feed it.

Thanks Mark, that's what I was thinking. I didn't even think about it until I started reading the how-to.

What if I just got one of these oil syringes? It looks like it would be more flexible and easier to use than the OEM tube.

That will do it man, and actually yes it would make it easier as you have to bend the plastic tip a little anyway to get a good angle on the tube to push in the new fluid. Plus your other hand needs be quick to plug the hole after filling with or without the bolt. Can you tell they built this car first and then later decided to throw in AWD? so annoying and reminds me mine is coming up too.
