I bought my b3 passat wagon back. It tossed a timing belt so got the head at G&S machine to check it out.

Now, I got to change the paint on the rims. Splatter paint is not my style.

2001 vr 12v, o2j, spec stage 3 clutch light flywheel,kenetics stage 2 kit (no injectors and chip),short runner 034efi fuel rail, light pullies, awic ect

Yeah still stationed here. It is going alright. Don't really come here that much any more. Two kids and a job that goes is always on the road makes it hard.

It is a sweet looking MK2. I have been eyeballing it everyday I drive on base. Those Recaros are some of the best trophys I have seen.

I just redid them rite before i sold it along with rhe headliner... Bout 9mths ago.... Motor and tranny have been gone through aswell. New brakes and wheel bearings had type a reps why o why o did u sell em andrew it looked the dogs ballocks!!!!!

The headliner looked ripped or torn near the sunroof...Hmmm. I think if it had the BBS' on it I would of bought it already. Those current wheels need to go! Lol.

The headliner trim round the sunroof i couldnt ever find it... But i think andrew has something up there now i dont think its torn.. The wheels are killin the car for sure it looked so good on the a's

Yea it looked good on the a's but it was rubbin really bad and I wanted to go lower. I put that 8v lip on it and fixed the ac control, I still have the 16v lip. Let me know man we can work something out.

Boo! Leaking brake proportioning valve:


Temporary fix - blocked one of the rear lines at the MC (capped it with a brake bleeder) - use the remaining line to the rears, ran it through a Wilwood adjustable valve and then through a Tee fitting to the rears. I'm a bit concerned about getting enough pressure from one rear line to work both rear brakes.

If it works out, I'll ditch the sketchy spaghetti system of hard lines and get one of the Tilton units and install it next to the shifter: http://photos.motoiq.com/MotoIQ/Proj...45_XZNH8-L.jpg

Bleeding this MFer is making me crazy - I used a 1/2 gallon of cheap fluid to get the air bubbles out and I still have a super-soft pedal. Any tips, or should I just keep at it? I'm using a vacuum bleeder (like this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JFN9WC/...SIN=B000JFN9WC )

The brakes are the only thing that kept me from auto-crossing today BTW

Tiny oil leak at the turbo, need a steel adaptor fitting here - I think I've stripped the aluminum -3AN fitting I have right now (another MFer!). Need to loom the wiring and stuff it away. Need to weld up a mount for the passenger seat (Cobra Monaco racing bucket) and get the front seatbelt latches bolted to the car.

Megasquirt is up and running.

VR crank sensor / using the ABA distributor for cam position. Have LS2 truck COP ignition coils (hottest coils in the universe!) ready to go in, have the board for sequential injection ready to go.

Starts on second crank when cold, first crank when warm - should get better with a few more keystrokes. Idle is hunting a little - need to richen the mixture and mess with idle timing a little.

Need brakes so i can road tune it

Very cool car one of my favs.... Mad turbo lag like the 944's is it yours?

It's my Ota's. 1984 930 Turbo. Yeah the turbo lag is terrible, it'll still burn through the p zeros. If it were me I'd have some wider rubber in the rear, he's still rocking 225's.

There is considerable spool up time.

No worries mate.... Im glad she likes it, i just barely drove it and it needed someone that would drive it!!!!!!! I got to many cars lol.... Got rid of one mk5 and then bought another one hahahahaha filthy habit
