Yessir! I was pleasantly surprised. We have a trip to AL planned so that will be 1300 miles to see what the wagon can handle. The second tank has been in town and is shaping up to be around 35mpg which is not too bad. Also the DSG is powerful fun.

I'm from Atlanta but recently had the misfortune of relocating to Batesville, AR haha It's only about 2-3 hours from Little Rock though, depending on where at in LR.

EDM is gonna host a show the 26th of August. It's going to be at the Advanced Auto Parts in Springdale, Arkansasl. Its going to be $7 a car to show and free to spectate. All proceeds will be going to the Springdale Animal Services (animal shelter). They will be bringing some animals to the show that will be put up for adoption along with adoption forms. All types of vehicles are welcome. From cars, trucks, and bikes. Judging will start at 2:00pm.

Anyone who is going to be dumb or immature will be asked to
leave. We want no drama or critiquing/ bashing on anyones rides. No burnouts no speeding etc. Lets just all get together as a community and have a great time!

Let me know if you are gonna make it. You don't need to bring anything besides maybe some chairs for yourself. I'll bring a few. Food and drinks will be provided and we will have door prizes being given away along with a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophy! Hope to see alot of support out of the community!

It's where nearly all of the VW folks from NWA will be. Go across the Street to the Joy and ask any of the water cooled guys to point you towards the Arkansas folks.

The show will be pretty much classics. But there will be a very large group across the street hanging out all with watercools. It will include people from LR, NWA, OKC, Tulsa, Witchita. We hang out, go to the show, go on drives through the twisties.

That's what you guys meant by "watercools". I've never heard of that term used in the context My dad wants to only drive the 63 bug up there, but i want to drive my car also, haha.

New rear beam bushings for the Mk2 - kind of a PITA, but not impossible. I brutalized the first one with a Sawzall, cold chisel and 4# sledge. The other side I might try to pound out with the sledge alone. Note the Jerusalem Cruisers in Pic #1 - that's pretty much how I rolllllllllllllllll
