This code has shown up after replacing the coolant sensor and establishing readiness. Any ideas how to fix this. Bentley suggests checking the harness and if that doesn't work out, replace the ecu. That seems pretty drastic for a coolant sensor.
The car car has 44000 miles and GIAC X+ otherwise stock.

Hey thanks for the info. I picked up the wiki Ross post through the archived threads. I saw mention of replacing the connector, I might try that next. The cel appeared recently immediately after I hit an expansion joint on the highway and I thought maybe it is really a mechanical issue with the connector. Then again today I was cruising on smooth highway at steady speed and the cel lit. My temp is rock steady too once it reaches operating temp. Perhaps before I replace the connector I'll try some connection enhancing solution instead of the dielectric compound someone else used.

I started a log file for my drive home from work tonight and the cel showed up but I didn't see any change in the data. I logged voltage, rpm, coolant temp and ambient temp. I marked the approximate time of the cel as indicated below.

OK, I applied some Stabilant 22 to the connector but still tripped the cel on the way from work today. I'm thinking thermostat next. The story continues
