Nice one on the Distance album, give me some feedback on it, I was very curious. It's hard for me to justify buying an unmixed album, I'd rather buy vinyl than cd tracks that I can't mix with.

I went to a sketchy Dubstep show in a warehouse a couple of weeks back. Everyone had dreads, didn't wear deodorant, and looked like the had $5 to their name. Sh*tty time.

I know as it gets more popular, the jocks will try to take over. I dont know how people party up there, but you sound really silly.

I dunno. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer to enjoy my music with people who shower and don't look like they purchased their ticket to the show with the leftovers from their welfare cheque.

Hardly a a scenester, but hardly into the scene. This was my first and last dubstep show. I'd much rather go to a house show: better music, fresher smelling crowd, more attractive women, and I don't have to wear rags and neglect my personal-hygiene for a month in order to not stick out like a sore thumb.
#92
Yeah, go to real dub/reggae show and see how many have dreads and smell rank.![]()
That being said, all the shows I've seen in Seattle have been with very hipster/Fremont people AND the grungy dub-heads together. Also much to my surprise, the female turnout is staggering! I was thinking that this was a male dominated music niche.

The show I went to was flat out grimey. I'm not even trying to pick on the scene, or the music at all, because I kinda like dubstep and drum & bass (in small doses). Hell, I don't even care about dreads, and the smell didn't bother me (try spending 10 hours in a packed mosh-put in 100 degree weather... not much phases you after that), but the fact that the guy/girl ratio was like 100:1 really sucked.
#94
Let's keep the thread about the music, shall we?Thanks.

his accent is soo crazy. at the show i went to, he got on the mic and no one could understand him. the whole crowd was looking around at each other.
His FUNK set is pretty cool too, but i favor disco. I heard his uncle was like this old ass DJ and thats how he started and thats how he got all these old records.

That Skream set is sick. When I saw him in August the last track he played was a total 70's disco soul. He verbally intro'd it with an apology
