Thanks man, I can't remember if I had answered about the ring and pinion...
Those are $100, a married set.

Lots of gearboxes... bringing these to VW SHOW and GO, 4/15/2012, be there.
Mk3 2.0L stock rebuild
Mk3 2.0L stock 1st to 4th, but with a .75 5th gear for saving some fuel.
Mk2 9A, AUG stock or a .80 5th gear set can be added.
VR6 02A CCM
MK4 1.8T 02J 4 cylinder, with a tall 3.389 ring and pinion.
MK4 1.8T, with a peloquin diff, VR6 EWW big teeth gear set.
And some more...let me know y'all.

Hi, I need 2 things:

1. Pricing on an 2.0 ABA trans (car is a 98 GTI - NOT a VR6)
2. Pricing on "sprucing up" O2A trans for my other 98 GTI, VR6)

For #1, it is my daily and the clutch slips when shifting into 3, or from 3 to 4.
Shifter seems to grind/squeak and is hard to get into any gears.

For #2, it is my project, built VR (NA spec), stock VR trans with approx. 117k miles on it. I'm interested in the 5th gear upgrades, R&P, etc.
Only mods I have available to it are the rado trans brace and a lightweight flywheel.
