Really? This is helpful especially to Golf and GTI drivers by stiffening the body and reducing the amount of flex from lack of structural integrity in the rear end. Also gets rid of a lot creaks and groans of the body. I dont know about you but I dont want the body of my car twisting like crazy whenever I pull in and out of my driveway. Bump!!

Do you know if you can still use the rear headrests in a GTI/Golf with these?

No drilling at all, just bolt it in.

  19. 12-07-2006 08:58 AM #19
We have the gun metal bars, but they aren't high polished, they're more of a satin finish.

umm strut tower bars do next to nothing in unibody car. niether does this.

    Maybe you drive too slow

Unibodies are by no means rigid. They have tons of flex in them.

Yea, someone said this was a "squeek n creek" bar. It didn't even cure that mounted several different ways - had to try everything since there is no istructions for what would be "proper" use/install.

It DOES come in handy for hanging clothes from hangers if you don't mind them sliding side to side

Aside from getting rid of occasional creaks, this bar is mostly for show. If you guys want different finishes, check eBay, there's a lot of stuff on there
