Anything tonight? I'd have no problem leaving half a qt of oil in the RR parking lot.![]()

Nate and his buddy with a mk5 were thinking about heading down but called it off cause it was doubtful anyone would be around.
I know I've been kindof out of commission due being unemployed and broke as a joke. I had been looking for work around here and was about to pull the trigger on moving to connecticut this weekend with a friend and seek work there.. but I'm fairly confident I may be hired this next week by a good company that offers a company vehicle and decent benefits. I'm pretty syked. In other words, you people get to put up with me for a little longer

Do any of you know anything about the 5 digit plates in MA? I know there is a lottery every year for the low numbered plates, but from what I've found those are four digits or less. I see at least three plates a week with 5 numbers. Are those simply vanity plates?

LOL it was actually the mkIII golf that I did this on, not the rabbit! If it were the rabbit I wouldn't have hit the gas tank for two reasons: 1, the gas tank in a mkI does NOT go under the spare tire well (which is why I guess I assumed it didn't in a mkIII). 2, there was no gas tank in my rabbit at all.
The worst part is that because water is more dense than gasoline, all the water that is let out of the spare tire well goes into the gas tank before the gasoline is displaced out of the tank...
It was quite the project to rectify the whole situation just because of a small drill hole. Would have been less work to fix the water leak in the first place. Moral of the story: if you're going to cut corners, cut corners the right way.

lol, I thought it was the rabbit probably because (like you said) it had a fuel cell, and no tank. Figured you'd enjoy that none-the-less.
Btw, this is my first week at the new job.. so far so good. I'll be seeing you all more often soon enough - being broke was as embarrassing as it was a burden not to be able to go out and do things. Having to move in with my mom and little brother in duxbury sortof sucks at 26 too but oh well.
anyway, Red Robin revival soon?

Awesome man. Good for you! Is it real city soda or something like that? I see a truck like every morning.
#8882
I see the Real City trucks all the time, too. Good for you, Eric.
This Sunday is VW Day/Transporterfest at the Larz Anderson Museum in Brookline. Is anyone interested in going?

yeaa that's us haha. It's actually called Lenox-Martell but it does say "real city soda" allover the trucks. If you see one of the trucks anywhere on the south shore it's likely 1 of 2 of my friends that also work for the company or myself.. it's basically the 3 of us from south boston to the tip of the cape... and a million techs in boston and north of.
still in for a gtg, miss you fools![]()
