Thread: W.Mass Euro 2011 Season

  1. 01-03-2007 01:18 PM #36
I was wondering why no one was posting on the old site
I guess I was too lazy to scroll to the last page, so much for my new year's resolution , does anyone have or is willing to lend out a strut bearing removal wrench, I called everyone and no one has it but GAP (german auto parts) and its 60 there
    Current 1991 audi 200 20v turbo waggen, 1990 vw cabby 16v, 1980 bmw 745i turbo, 1987 mitsu starion esi-r

    Past- 82 vw scirocco, 93 mitsu mirage, 83 vw GTI, 79 BMW 733i euro, 86 mercedes 16v cosworth, 1988 bmw 325 IC, 1990 saab 900 turbo,

    that's brutal

i just pull out the air compressor and impact wrench and go to town now.. there is nothing i can use to tighten up the struts (my coiloers have thing at the top for adjustments, instead of the "allen wrench hole" that used to be on my old struts)

  3. 01-03-2007 03:01 PM #38
brutal indeed, unfortunately I don't have access to an impact otherwise I would do it so I gotta try the old fashioned way

Are you looking for the one shaped like a socket with with two tines on it? It removes that weird nut. If so I have one you can use.

    yes!

i bought stock front and rear valences off of a member today, i will be much more relaxed scraping a ****ty stock front vlance than my ****ty gli lip*

*****ty because it is all scraped up already, but it has come to my attention that a gli lip nowadays costs almost $400... I bought mine back in april '05 for $85 shipped.... I dont think I'm gonna let go

also, i went to cotton's performance in agawam (they build up mostly grand national's... one of their cars went 8.96 @ 150+) and the guy ordered a mandrel bent 90 and some straight pipe, and he will weld it

hopefully it will be done by friday

when i go big turbo, i will probably have him redo all my piping, in a larger size of course

soon i hope, I have far more than enough but I'd rather have a lot more sitting in my account incase if something goes awry, this is my daily driver as you know

oh yeah, I was dropping off a rent check for my dad's shop in springfield and I hit something... it was glorious (near the state police station around liberty st)

its so nice to not worry about it

    Rick's (sir8Valve got a mk4 GTI and a MK1 rabbit.

There's also a guy name Miguel that lives in meadowbrook with a red mk2 jetta, but he's not on here, nor has he been to any of the gtg's. If you happen to snag him someday, tell him you know the kid with the red coupe and that he should get his butt to one of our gtg's.
