Man you guys been busy...sorry out of town racing all weekend. But got second place in class doing autocross at VMP yesterday...woot!

So 1230 Saturday at Cavalier?? Don't they have Saturday hours??? They may not really like 30 VWs taking over their parking lot. Wouldn't mind giving them the props though...they did a lot of my suspension work

Cool Route...43 up from Buchanon to the BRP is a blast...a little rough, and fun to drive. Even better down the other side from Peaks of Otter down into Bedford. Only thing I would say about that route is that going south on the BRP from 43 will miss the super fun section between 43 and Peaks of Otter, but I'm cool with that. Couple of nice overlooks for photos as well.

I am still willing to host a BBQ @ my house in Bonsack...I'll provide the grill, condiments and lounging area...I've got some frozen burgers or you can bring your own. I've gotta big backyard and seating for around 10, so bring your camp chairs. Everyone can stop at the Kroger on 460 to stock up on the way here. I live on Huntridge Rd, on the hill just behind the 460 Lowes. I would sure appreciate it if I could get some sort of headcount so I make sure I have enough buns and stuff...let me know.

BTW...I've got a wife and kids so feel free to bring yours. And sorry to hear about your friend man...that pretty much sucks!

Cavalier doesn't currently have hours on Saturdays - he usually closes down during fall/winter on sat. I've already cleared it with my dad (aka owner of cavalier) and he's good with it

That still sounds awesome to me - i guess it's kinda up to what everyone wants to do? I liked the idea of stopping downtown at a parking garage and snapping pics of the group, but i def love the idea of a bbq after that

Sorry for your loss dude!! that definitely sucks

Yea , things are going to be a bit different . I `ve known him and his sister since we were in diapers . Life goes on but it will be rough for us for a while . I did manage to get the lights back in the corrado yesterday and take a speed putt down the the interstate and back . I still need to get it inspected but first I need to send back the headlight controller and get another one since this one won`t raise to high beams .

4dr is supposed to be my daily which it will be soon just need an alignment and sticker but it is a stock vr now I have thoughts everyday to sale are part it out for another mk2...

the mk2 will be a while it's about fully stripped. Only thing on it is taillights and a steering wheel in the middle of shaving the bay and getting ready for paint guy now then long days and nights to put it back together.

Anyone happen to have a MK2 clutch disc in good/new shape that I can get? I'm in the middle of changing out the trans/clutch in my g/f's mk3 golf, and the replacement trans I have is from a mk2 (AUG trans code)...

nevermind on the clutch disc - i ordered one from GAP; i wanted to make sure I can get this car back on the road by Monday.

So with our Cruise tomorrow, what is everyone wanting to do at the end - i know there was request to stop at a parking garage and take pictures, the idea of lunch somewhere has been tossed around, as well as a BBQ at someones house.

Your harlequin, does it have steelies or black wheels on it? I saw one out near tanglewood last week that did.
"Hey, how many hipsters does it take to change a lightbulb?"

"It's this really obscure number. You've probably never heard of it..."

it's got the OE steelies w/ OE hubcaps that I painted black. There's only one Harlequin in the area, and it's me. My g/f has been driving it the past couple weeks while we have been trying to get her golf to pass inspection.

The roads here are good...everything is pretty mellow except SR 43 between Buchanon and the Parkway. It is a really tight switchback road (marked with NO trucks or RV's signs) that goes up the mountain and catches up with the BRP a couple of miles this side of Peaks of Otter. The road itself is not the smoothest I have seen, but other then that my only concern is that the weather we have had over the last couple of days may have caused some blowdown. I'll probably check it out in the morning tomorrow before we take everyone out that way. That way we can come up with alternatives at time of departure if we need to...as I have said before - SO many choices!

Looking forward to seeing everyone...supposed to be nice...a little cool, but sunny which is nice!

    Nice pics man!

after staring at my transmission for an hour today not getting anything accomplished, i finally realized that i had the engine raised up way too much w/ the support beam - i was trying to shove the trans to somewhere it didn't belong, hahaha.. I just got home a bit ago (midnight), started working on the car closer to noon... there were a few hours of doing nothing, but overall i got a lot done, in a huge amount of time (which im not overly proud of, but its the outcome that matters not how long it took)

Thats pretty funny mister "I love Intercourse"!

I was going to post some pictures as well as edit the video (even though I lost some of it) yesterday while watching football, but then I decided to go fishing instead. That and trick-or-treating pretty much killed my day yesterday. I'll get something going soon...promise!

It was great seeing everybody on Saturday...definitely something we need to do more often. Like sex, the more you do it the better it gets!
