I may be able to make it up fellas. I am moving to 2nd shift as of this Monday coming up. So as long as we do not have any mandatory ot, then I can come. Lets just hope we get some good weather, it is suppost to be warm, lets hope for no rain.

New guy here, just thought i'd drop a message. Im mainly on VaDriven.com but heard about this place so I thought i'd check to see if there were any locals. Sure enough there are a bunch of you guys from Roanoke. I try to get together with a couple people on the weekends to go for a ride but most of the guys around this area either own american or Japanese cars...so im looking for some fellow European car enthusiasts. I may not have a Vdub, but I have something owned by Vdub, does audi count?

Looking at your profiles I believe i've seen allot of you alls cars around town, just trying to meet the owners since I havent run into any of you in person. Also, who owns the Black R32 and theres also a Blue one (not sure if its an R32 though) parked at Panera allot, anyone know these guys? One other thing - who owns the sick modded white passat around here, my friend at Martin's (euro car place) said that car is definitely built up - just thought i'd say it looks good!!

The car at panera is a 20th ann. not a r32 the black r is owned by a guy named Bryan who works at Monore on Franklin. The Passat is my roomates car. Just check in here time to time the post on the first page will update with time and places welcome and the S4 looks nice.

And I apologize for my ass of a job driving sunday.

I realized afterwards that I was probly a bit aggressive hitting up bnt. mountain...I was trying to keep up with that damn Ford Focus - who the hell was that?? That thing was quick around the turns.

Anyways, I saw you guys heading my way - I had just gotten done cruising with my buddy and his 911 on the parkway so I was on my way home. I noticed all your Vdubs so I had to turn around and see if I could catch up to you guys, took a while but I finally found you guys goin up bent mountain - where did you guys head off to next?

BTW, sorry for not waving at some of u guys when u passed me the first time - i was in somewhat shock and awe seeing so many Vdubs and such at one time in roanoke.

Anyways, keep me posted on when you guys are heading out again...my friend and I plan on going on another cruise sunday most likely - we usually drive up to some places, get some photos, then head on.

Sounds good, i'll be in richmond till saturday night but i'll be home sunday so I think my friend and I are gonna go for a cruise sometime that afternoon. If you guys end up goin saturday i'll just wait till next time and catch up with you guys when you go again.

BTW, what kind of setups do you guys have - those who have heavilly modded your VWs (big turbos, etc..)?

Yes, a few of us have some heavily modified cars. Unfortunately I wasn't driving mine on Saturday, I was in my (relatively) stock Corrado.

It's nice to have another german car enthusiast among us. You are always welcome at any event we have! The more the merrier!

Sounds good! What type of 'heavy mods' do you guys run? Just curious, I havent seen many heavily modded euros around (i dont get out much ) so i'd love to check them out!

Do you guys run turbos like the Ko4's, GT25's, and GT28's or are there other aftermarket turbos you run in the VWs?

Anyways, i'd love to join you guys sometime during one of the meets - I wont be around saturday, maybe the next weekend if you guys head out again? Are any of you guys into car photography at all?

How about around 11 or 12 saturday morning at Kroger parking lot beside Lowes. Then a cruise down williamson to the car show at the civic center. And from there maybe a bite to eat somewhere?

My cabrio has a VR6 swap as well as a T04E. It's had a bare-shell respray and some subtle body work, shaved engine bay, etc.

Some of the other guys are running VR6 turbo swaps and there are some updated 1.8ts around. One I know of with a GT30.

I used to have an APR stage III 20th Anniversary GTI as well.

So yeah, there are some decently modded dubs in Roanoke.

I wish we had an AWD dyno closer or I would throw my S4 on there. Ohwell, i'll have to make a trip up to DC sometime and do that once I get all the Stg. III stuff together.

fairly stock, besides some vagging, colormatched sidemarkers, k&n drop in, auto meter cobalt boost gauge, H&R sport springs, smoked mirror signals, open fogs grills.
future: wheels, and exhaust, oh and possiby a stage 1 chip upgrade
