woops, yes, that's what I meant...I'm glad you know what I was thinking but my fingers typed differently

spotted southbound on the 400, a burnt orange (think Nissan 350z colour) Chevy Astrovan but with a whole Escalade front end including grille, headlights & bumper grafted on....very tastefully, I might add. The larger square-ish headlights fit the Astrovan very well

spotted a dumped red mk3 golf heading eastbound with me on the 401, just before the 400 exit. was behind him till i exited bayview. roof racks, mouldings taken off, spray painted sad face on the rear bumper, sick rims gave him thumbs up! . DOPE CAR! , and when i exited bayview going north, saw a lowered white corrado.

I'm in the green mk3 with a thule rack and a "bomb hills not people" sticker on the hatch haha. I'll give Dave a wave when I see him next.

Friscos....it's in the ONT FAQs under places to buy parts. It's an indoor chop-shop. Anything that is fit to be possibly rebuilt, they do, and sell them, more than likely for more than the car is worth to people who don't know any better (like Billy trying to sell me a rotten TD B3 sedan for $3500 that was all worn out ) Generally they buy vehciles from wherever insurance companies dump them to get auctioned off. As a rule, if it's written off, they are not allowed to let you take the whole kit because you might shodily rebuild it unsafely, crash, then who is to blame? It's better for parts there, but again, know what things are worth, and be ready to bargain.

Spotted me getting a haul of over 200 linear feet of 8-12" wide barnboard....loading up the Caddy...and *then* realizing the rear fenders are sitting on the tires due to the waaaaay-out-there overhang. Am taking the TDI over to said undisclosed location to break up the package. Yay for not having a *real* truck when you *really* need it.
