Probably because your old bushings were still good

Had you installed them in my MkII, however...

    ..............

I got most of my goals for today done on the Falcon:

    1.) Installed downpipe gasket

2.) Finished wiring turn signals to the column

3.) Purchased a neutral safety switch (thanks Ebay!!111!!!)

4.) Tested heater blower motor. It works on both speeds, but it makes a wierd noise.

5.) Worked at wiring in more dash accessories

The motor is ready to start, but I want to wait untill I get my neutral safety switch just to be safe. Once thats done, I get a taillight and a turn signal for the right side, and I have that one tire re-mounted, it should be ready to go

However, I just found out today that the Falcon's heater ducting is all made from a cardboard like substance, and most of mine is gone I will still have much, much more work to do on the interior/dash, but I'll just be happy that its driveable

I attempted to install my EvoMS steel brake lines. But I jacked up the first nut so I am going to take it by J3 on Monday to do the replacement.

Today I worked on the Falcon for a while:

    1.) Wired in headlight switch

2.) Started engine, let it run for a while

3.) Got some more wiring supplies and stuff to clean parts with

4.) Cleaned off my balcony (now all the parts are organized and theres room to work)

I have the engine running, but since I fixed the exhaust leak at the downpipe, it just started leaking at the manifold gasket. The manifold gasket is only about $6 and since its an inline 6 motor it should be easy to take the manifold off.

I also need to get a shorter fan belt, because the alternator sits in closer to the block than the generator did.

Hopefully I will have this thing driveable sometime soon

well i bought a 95 jetta vr on saturday, and today i was changing spark plugs and i noticed that the wires were in there really tight.. so i applied a little force, and snapped one of them in half.... so later today i get to drop 100-some dollars on all new wires because the PO obviously didnt change them.
