I went to change the exhaust manifold gasket on my Falcon and one of the bolts broke off in the head :banghead. There's about 1/8" of the shank leftt. I can't get it to move with vicegrips though, so it will probably still have to be drilled out.

I put the manifold back on just to see if it would leak (since the gasket is only 5 bucks why not?). It leaks worse now than it did before

I did get the throttle linkage fixed though, and the neutral safety switch installed, so today wasn't a TOTAL loss

Installed these on the SI yesterday, plus camber kit and an o2 sensor! Have to do the alignment and change the oil today.

    I wish.

    I fit fine in the 914, 6'0 265 FAT.

Working on some electrical issues on the 914, then the Megasquirt goes on.

Well, I picked up my ABA block today from Mike. I screwed up and wrote down the wrong phone # for his new phone. I am an ass. But I did get to go check out two of my buddies IT cars, one of which owns a testarossa.

Heres some pics. The blue one is a $16K car, the red one was $3900, the redhead was about $40K.

Andy should recognize the red IT.

My old Integra was the same generation as that blue one. The B series likes to rev, but it needs some FN torque

All in all I'd say you have a mad tyte JDM combo.

Are you still thinking of making the Fox into an IT car? I bet a MkI would make an awesome IT car as well.

I used to know a couple of people who ran IT in '70's Civics. Those cars KILLED in IT because of the way they are classed. They didn't really have any opposition

Im thinking of using the Fox for IT well really PT in NASA, cause of all the mods. I just wanna do it for seat time, not really so much competition. Now all my friends have IT cars I want in. But the blue one going to be in SCCA IT and the red one is going to be in NASA Honda Challenge.

Yeah, the way that most racing works is you buy the rulebook and build the car according to that. Almost every sanctioning body was different specs, especially when it comes to rollcages. And since its a friggin' pain to alter a roll cage once its built, most cars are built for one type of racing and thats really all they are good for. I think that in most forms of racing you also have to keep a logbook, if those cars came with logbooks you might be able to find out some of their history, maybe how competetive they were.

I've shipped arcade machines with Pilot Air before. They've got good prices.

If you need freight on the east coast, R&L Carriers is usually the best, I think they go west 'til Texas.

Forward Air was the one I used. I went to pick up my fiberglass hood, they put it on the bottom of a pallet and they had piled some stuff on top of it, made a crack in it. I was less than pleased

The fiberglass hood was off of an IT racecar BTW. No ricey "panda" crap or anything

Was it on the tranny side?

Oh and Justin welcome back to the driving side. I hope to have my jetta back up after I get the head back from the machine shop next week.

Another head I had shaved only had a height of 5.228" when I mic'ed it. I know the throw out limit is 5.22" so its gotta be shaved like crazy. Anyone know the stock height of an 8v head? The bentley doesnt say and the guy at the machine shop told me 5.265" which means ive got .037 off of it. But he didnt seem to sure.
