Thread: ATL:What did you do to your car today

    1. 08-05-2007 11:53 PM #1751
I love 10-year old fasteners that haven't been touched since the factory

    2. 08-06-2007 10:49 AM #1752
About to go mess with the car and wish I had new tires on the 17's. Gotta raise the front a bit cuz i'm tired of having to make a 10 point turn just to make a 90 degree turn in order to not rub like a bish.

started the Vacuum line to hard line conversion. To hell with vacuum line disintegration from now on. all lines will be converted over to hard tubing. I say this, as now some how, my intercooler will inherit some aluminum eating cancer just as god thinks karma is a fun laugh just to give me another vacuum leak

no video, but I doubt it could possibly go much faster without a different final gear.

After work, I beat the crap out of an exhaust manifold heatshield. Finally got the intake manifold off. It was gummed up reaaly bad (EGR ). So I scraped some of it out (as much as i could reach right then), and put the manifold in a gallon of PB Blaster that I had layin around. I'll revisit after work tomorrow.

replace a ground wire that had a slice in it and some other the wire was exposed and the exposed part had rusted...my car has no more idle issues,IDLES AMAZING Now! it used to have a bouncy idle everytime after i would push it hard doesnt do that anymore either...doesnt bog down as much anymore either. surprising what one wire can do on a MKII
