Replaced a broken bumper light and rear door handle. Had some legal window tint done all around. Nothing big, but the inside temp went down a good bit and the car looks better.

GTE said I had a solid rear axle and that my requested alignments specs weren't possible to do nor did they know how to do them even though I told them my set-up wasn't OEM.

Use Gerimo at the Alignment Company 7706401700. He was main tech back when Americas Best Automotive was good and Dean owned it.

Tell him Bryson sent you and it's $50. We aligned 6 cars last week before track day, including mine with the new set-up and I dropped nearly 3 seconds off my old Roebling Rd times. Mounted and balanced 20 rims and tires and was $48 a set.

    Great people.

Uh oh GTE was great several years ago. I hope they haven't gone to ****.

Finding a good alignment shop is like finding the Holy Grail. I ended up just going to Gunther and paying out the ass for it, but it still wasn't perfect.

Gerimo isn't quite Jesus but then again the spanish pronunciation is different .

He's good and watches his techs. He'll personally do it if you request it. For $50 and a new Hunter Laser Rack with knowledgeable techs I had no doubts. He did mine with the front splitter... no probs, Jay's with his mk5 and ThunderBunny bumper... no probs, Richard's with his euro bumper and lip... no probs, Kevin with his mk4 R32... no probs, Ryan w his E36 M3 and HM splitter... no probs....

Been a while since i've been actively "playing" with my car. I'm getting back in to it with a build...guess GTE won't be the pace i go to when I get new tires. Shame since they were close by.
Yo Bryson, can you reccomend a machine shop to send my block and head off to to get decked....and possibly some head work?

There are people who have good experience w them and some who have not. It's a business, all have good and bad.

I called and asked specific questions. I told them I had camber plates for the front and rear of my car, they laughed and said nobody made that, then told me I had a solid rear beam and that negative camber would do nothing for me and went further to tell me nobody made camber plates for an old VW and it's not adjustable.

All of which is wrong and incredibly ignorant.

Gerimo did the alignments for Ferrari Challenge w Dean when they came to town, he did them for FoA and LoA. I can tell him what I want and what track I'm going to and he will offer input. I always get a before and after.

They also mount stretch tires for $48 for those who want that pointless mod

I just recently used Grimes in Alpharetta. 770 475 5272 They did a big valve 1.8t for me. They are more than other shops but they know more and are NHRA hall of fame.

this past tuesday on the way home from work.

Got a scan P0411 and knock sensor. Time to deal wit it.

    Research time
was like this when i saw that combi valve had to be takin out and clean. Then i heard that if theres a vacuum leak anywhere is will throw the secondary air incorrect code.
    Got started like a boss

After 2 hour of chasing hoses and replacing some i look close at this hose in front of the hose going to the fpr.
Turn it around and ill be

I slip the top clamp off easy and her we go with min force almost had it off then it broke

So rig some vaccum hose up to make it work. Still pissed. Cleared the codes and my old man let drive his car to work one behind my car not beside it.

Got home that night and finally finished it.
Took it to work today and did an emission test on it(im certified).
The who time im doing the pretest im like please pass.

    It passed the pretest.

Went through the test and it passed the day before my b day.

We have a level drive on Hunter rack here at Gunther. If you dont want anything fancy done and you can drive you car on the street we can get it on the rack.

To the dude that owns the Red R32. I feel for you.... Chaz has pretty much done everything he can on his end. Hope you can work something out with VW. It seems like a really ****ty situation but I cannot speak for VW in what is and is not covered under their DSG warranty extension.

If you ask for Joe at Bulldog Tire in Snellville, you will get a good job. He has done lowered cars for me for many years. He will be doing my Jetta soon.

You do know that torque is the actual gain that is felt, right? Horsepower is the result of a calculation: Horsepower= (Torque * RPM)/5252 Saying that you felt "bull**** torque" is like saying that you had sex with a girl and just felt bull**** vagina.
