finally got around to turning the 15 gallon tank in the jeep:

    .....

    into a 19 gallon tank:

yup literally the only difference on a TJ between the two is that little ~5" piece of plastic. That sticks down lower into the tank blocking off the vent when the fuel level rises and it shuts off the pump. You can sit there and do a top off up to 19 gallons but it takes forever.

Gas gauge will just read on full for an extra 4 gallons now since it isn't working buying a new sender. It only comes with the fuel pump not as a stand along so its 200-300 bucks depending on the source, don't need the pump with the diesel so not worth it.

Picked up a set of GLI Recros today for my 2000 Golf.

Been looking around for a clear solution to plugging in the air-bags, but I can't seem to find a direct solution for it.

Hoping to have them in before SoWo. I've also heard that there's a way to disable the air bags for the seats via VAG-COM. Was wondering if I could do that and leave the seats unplugged until after the show?

    Any help is appreciated.

You can leave the seats unplugged, which will cause the airbag light to stay on...

or change the connectors to the newer style and have the airbags fully functional...

or resistor the harnesses under the seats to disable the airbags and dont have the light on the dash on all the time...

you cannot just disable them with vag-com...

    I hope this helps you...

    Kinda does, but kinda doesn't

Can I swap over the seat connector like in the instructions on this PDF?
    http://borasport.com/Images/Recaro_S...structions.pdf

I may just leave them unplugged until after the show.

I picked up a set of connectors and some shrink tubing to wire in the connectors from the original seats to the GLI's.

Kinda yes, but not really... IIRC the GLI uses a 4 wire airbag connector instead of a 3 wire... Bentley is your best friend on this mission...

There are some old DIYs floating around this site. I swapped in 02 seats into my 00 back in 03 and still haven't rewired them.. I have the connectors and everything just never cared to do it but will be doing it in the next few weeks since I need to sell that car finally.

ITs possibly as people have said you just need to find the right wiring info, I believe people figured it out so just search around this site.

I should really start posting in here again... been doing LOTS of stuff trying to get the rabbit ready for SoWo.. we'll see if I make it with that car or not.

On that note, is anyone parting out a mk1 cabriolet or have cabriolet dash parts laying around? I need some bits. Also am in need of a nice set of rabbit US long tails if anyone has a set I can borrow for the show.

Bypassed my leaking heater core. Will replace it in a few months. Definitely don't need any heat these days.
Fixed an oil leak. Needed a new drain plug gasket.
