My Parrot CK3100 + SW100C install was successful thanks to all the info here. To encourage others, here's a short video I shot this morning showing how it works:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FikKTZ3uulk
Links to the pertinent threads are in the video description.

Very impressive. I'm just worried about ordering this and having it not agree with my phone. I've heard a few folks say that's been the case for them, and in searching for the parts on eBay, the auctions don't list my phone as being compatible. I know eBay auctions aren't the pinnacle of accuracy, but it's still something to consider.I have the Samsung SGH-I607, commonly known as the BlackJack. I suppose the best option would be to call Parrot directly and see what they have to say.

The parts list from the Jetta install was pretty complete:* #20 Torx screwdriver
* Small flathead screwdriver
* Wire cutters / strippers
* Needlenose pliers
* Parrot CK3100
* Quickconnect harness
* Add-a-circuit
* 20 gauge wire
* Butt connectorsWe also used zip ties and electrical tape to secure the connectors and tapped ignition wire, and I forgot to get an additional fuse for the add-a-circuit so I stole the one from my horn for a few days. Also recommended is a wire coat hangar for fishing wires from the fuse box to the head unit.
Install took a ludicrous nine hours across two days because we took our time with the trim removal, argued a lot, and didn't realize for a few hours that the rear wiper was triggering when the phone button was pressed because the add-a-circuit needs a second fuse inserted :-] In all it was pretty easy to do, and I'm sure I could do it again in two hours tops.

I have the Parrot CK3100 installed on my car. I love it and it works well. I only wish I could make it louder through the speakers. I have it turned up to the max on the parrot piece, but I still need more volume sometimes, especially on the highway.Anyone know any tricks?

I mentioned this in the (8+?) page thread on this topic, but I think it's worth repeating here.I found it -much- easier to tap the 12v line from the cig lighter in the center console (after running the add-a-circuit to the fuse box and encountering the aforementioned rear wiper issue.)
Everything works great off that lead and there's no fishing of wires, no messing w the stock fuses, and it's a simple task to remove the line tap should you want to return it to stock.
Just my .02, love this setup and multiple people have reported little/no difference in call quality vs. my handset (Sony Ericsson W900i.)
My buddy has a Blackjack, if I get a chance I'll try pairing it to the CK3000 and report back.
for the video and Howard @ Quick Connect.

awesome. now my question is, parrot just came out with a new interface that supports a2dp (stereo hifi audio over bluetooth) my phone supports a2dp... (and so dose the 2125 you have in the video with a little software modding.) would i be able to listen to my audio over bluetooth to the stock head unit? thanks.

where did u stash the parrot kit? inside the dash? and for the mic, did the mic wiring thats comes with the parrot kit reach all the way to the top or did u have to extend it?

LOOPS, we just stuffed the wiring and hardware behind and underneath the head unit. Seemed to be plenty of space back there. And yes, the mic and cable that the Parrot kit came with was plenty long enough to reach.

awesome thanks for the prompt response. gonna go for it and order the kit next week (if my bid for a navi doesn't go through hah) expect some pm's if I come into some problems!for the great video

That's pretty cool, I'm wondering if VW's kit will show the phonebook in the Cluster's display (FIS) like the Audi models do? I would imagine that's what the initial idea was.

A quick question on the mic. Did you install it lying flat above the "grille" or did you install it vertically so it points down through the grille? Did you use the foam that was in the opening to wedge it in? Just looking to see how you set it up before I do mine. I have the kit all installed except for final positioning of the mic. Great video, btw. I inserted a link to this thread in another similar topic....

PBGTIGLX,Weird, I didn't see any foam in the opening on mine. We actually just jammed the mic in vertically, without securing it in any way. The fit seems to be tight enough that it doesn't rattle around. I was figuring we'd have to go back and add some foam, but it seemed to work fine just wedged in vertically.
Incidentally, the toughest part of the mic install was getting the wire to come out the front of the overhead console by the windshield. I eventually used some needlenose pliers to ram the mic plug through the headliner where it meets the windshield - it can be done, it just takes a good bit of force.

Great video. I'm very tempted to do this now.Does anyone know the ETA of the OEM VW kit?
