Pretty basic, really. Bear with me as some of this may differ a bit between my '83 and your '93, but should be pretty much the same.
There's a series of screws along the bottom edge that hold on the map pocket, speaker grille, speaker, and door card.
You also need to pop the insert out of the door handle. There's a slight recess at the front edge of the insert where you can stick a flat blade screw driver and carefully pop it out. Next, you can remove the screw retaining the inner door handle.
Arm rest is held on with two screws that insert from the bottom at an angle.
Window cranks need the cover popped free and the screw removed. (shoudl be able to pop the cover by hand.)
Mirror jobbies should just pull off.
The rest is just clips. Pull out gently, starting from the bottom edge, adn work your way up the sides. Eventually you can lift it up out of the window channel.

Pop off the plastic cap inside the finger guard at the inside lever, remove the single Phillips screw behind, remove the rest of the finger guard.
Two screws at the front of the lower speaker housing, remove and unplug the speaker.
Two hefty Phillips hold the bottom of the armrest, then pivot 90° around the top anchor and it will release.
Look behind the door pocket for a plastic cap covering a Phillips.
Pull the mirror knob straight off.
      Free the mirror shaft grommet,.
Gently pry the perimeter of the panel itself and pop all the clips.
Bow the panel slightly top and bottom, then lift it off the support bar/hook.
Fish the lower speaker wires free, unplug the tweeter.

<edit>YJSAABMAN beat me to the post.
'93 should have power windows, no window crank to remove. Door pockets attach to the panel from the inside, they'll come off with the panel, no screws on the outside.</edit>

Dang. I forgot about the two screws that are revealed once the large speaker is removed, they hold the door pocket and the door panel.

Hi im having trouble with the back panels, i dont want to force anything, im just trying to replace the back speakers in my 1992 GTI cabriolet.

How do i get the window winder off and do i need to pop the speaker casing off as well, or does it come off with the panel?

      cheers

How to remove a door card is here with pictures:
      http://www.toplessrabbit.com/forums/...hp?f=27&t=1773

      Then the Rear :

Pry the black plastic covering off the rear of the hand crank, on the non knobbed end, it Pushes UP and OVER the large part of the handle.

Remove the Center SCREW (Phillips) the screw is usually tight so get a good Screwdriver...

Pull the window crank off the knurled post, remove the spacer.
Undo the Rear "B" pillar weather strip from the door frame.
Now Undo the Center pin that holds the Plastic shroud for the shoulder belt.

Using a screwdriver under the top edge pry out the nylon keepers that hold the top of the card to the frame.

Lift up out of the fingers catches on the bottom.

4 minutes tops to remove the rear quarter panel card.
