I have seen a few on the drivers side fender, mind you they were running CAI which allows more room.I've been thinking of where to move it also.

For you 1.8T owners, where do you relocate the vacuum reservior on the valve cover?
I want to omit it, but can't since it's psuedo-critical to the vacuum system.- Erik

No need to relocate what so ever. Just take it off and cap the tube. Neen running for 10,000 without probs. IM for questions of pics.Search vacuum res for info threads

And what the DV to properly work.
Sketchy, what's your take on the set-up with that modification?- Erik

My car runs 1000x better without the silly n249. After that was bypassed, the vacuum canister was promptly removed. Been running like this for 2+ years now, not a single problem.I have the DV running off a T from the FPR line, same as my boost guage.

I was reading up on the archives in the 1.8T forum and there were mixed reviews.- Erik

SAVwKO should be able to help you with this.

I still have all the valves and elevtronics set up. Its my understanding that the vacuum res is present to allow the n249 to open the diverter valve whenever it wants. this leads to a surging prob somtimes.
you can sort of see the hard line on the right with a rubber cap and hose clamp on it. Only pic i have.![]()
