ok, finally got a chance to pickup the intercooler piping from media blasting. i am kinda surprised at how they came out, and am thinking i might have found a cool look that i might just run with? was planning on powder, but i wonder if i might not just find a satin clear to hit them with once i have the cracked wled fixed. obviousley it wont match at the weld, but the crack i have isnt in a visible spot either, so. i talked to the machinist who did it,and being that they were chrome (atp) pipes, he didnt want to have them peel, so he shot peened them. turned out pretty damn cool looking, i can say that much.

    enjoy..

I'm diggin the satin look. What would be even cooler would be a satin nickle finish. It's not as shinny as chrome and it has a warmer feel.

Oh and for the record, Spike TV's "30 seconds with a hot chick" is probably the most ingenious television ever!!! It's late, I should go to sleep.

i feel ya, i am just surprised at the turn out. i wasnt even expecting them to look as good as they do. i have never seen someone shot-peen chrome before like this. usually seen it all just blown off, and peeled before powdercoating.

and you must be like me. still can only sleep 4-5 hours a night

the car should be maybe 3-4 weeks still, and i am pulling the trigger on the new wheels today i hope they are about the same time frame. then just getting it all thrown backtogether at home, and getting her up and running again. we still have some winter left, so it should be just in time for the spring. but then again, we have all heard that before

first show might be volksport in june, but we will see.

Same here. Hell, I didn't even have to button my coat on the 1 mile walk to the train this morning. Nothing like a nice brisk warm walk to start the day out right.

Dude, Mike you can't do white and black camo. It will look way to similar to conor's interior in the coupe.

this looks more like cow print than camo

wont the heat discolor the IC pipes, regardless of clear/satin finish? i would think the metal itself will discolor from the heat in the engine bay....

it might. but it couldnt hurt to try. and i will try finding a high temp clear, just in case. it doesnt work, i can pull it apart. but they dont get as hot as say, exhaust piping, so i dont think it will be an issue..

As Greg just said, that's because it is.

Where's the new pics Mike, what the hell man, you're slackin.

Oh and off topic, Conor, Dylan and I finished up conors cowprint headliner this weekend and I think we may have made a bad choice. when it was all finished and we stood back and looked at it the pattern actually started to make all of us dizzy.
